Sean McVay on the importance of defining success for yourself instead of inheriting society’s version of it. "You're having the success, but you get misguided in regards to your priorities, your perspective, and societal's scoreboard, as opposed to your personal scoreboard that really lasts." A lot of coaches achieve what they thought they wanted only to realize they built success around a definition they never intentionally chose. If your entire identity is built around the external scoreboard, eventually you can achieve everything you thought you wanted and still feel disconnected from your life. Scored 30 points on 9-for-17 FG, 5-8 3FG and 7-9 FT.  Added 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 2 steals leading Tigers to first state championship in first finals appearance ans 53-50 championship game win over Holy Innocents’ in the Private Classification.

GHSA STATE CHAMPIONSHIP @OfficialGHSA A-AAA Private Final: @DarlingtonHoops - 53 Holy Innocents - 50 Darlington fought a gauntlet of a bracket with wins over St. Francis, Calvary Day, Mount Vernon & now Holy Innocents to take home their 1st ever State Championship. 2027 DJ Hall (@DesmondHallJr) cemented himself as one of the top in his class & was in takeover mode all game as he finished with 30p 6r 7a to lead Darlington to the title. A 2027 that coaches need to know NOW. 2026 Cam Selig finished with 9p 8r for the Tigers and was a big presence on the inside in the win.
