@MCPSPE Giving ALL S’s a chance 2shine &get recognized. S’s worked in small teams 2self select content based activities from a choice board. Then they collaborated &voted 4each other as to which attribute they showed the most during the lesson &autographed the wall for all2see!

I created trading for cards for kids to use as incentives during PE class for those moments when students go above and beyond..so far they are a hit!

The building blocks of PE-literally! Student choice is always important for our 3 &4 year old CAPP students. We worked on sorting colors with r foam building blocks, movements with beanbag animals, &letter recognition with r 3D floor letters. Everyone had fun including me!👍

PE ProTip: Underhand Roll-Have S’s practice skill without a ball in partnerships giving specific feedback to each other, then have them practice with a ball of their choice, then allow them to design their own challenge using foam blocks—then have others try out their creations🤩

Student discourse in PE. Put a prompt on the board, give 1 person from each team a talking chip. Once the person who has the chip answers, they give it 2the next teammate . Start with a 1word response prompt then ucan modify throughout the lesson/unit with higher level questions

Grade 4 students practiced jumping for height at one of our learning centers. The students self select their level of challenge and try to snag a scarf from a pool noodle at the apex of their jump. I’m in the background cheering them on!!

Organization is key! Just finished a huge project of creating assessment notebooks for all grades in PE. They are organized by individual grade levels and individual marking periods. A one stop shop 4using these master copies to easily create multiple copies for our students.

Just rec’d my certificate 4my 100th design on Canva after creating this slide for our KidsHeartChallenge. I put r school logo on the shirts of students &created a scene that tried 2express how much fun they will be having this week as we celebrate our annual event. It was a hit!

When S’s r injured out of school & have to sit out during the movement portion of PE they still stay actively engaged in our lessons by self selecting from over 30+activities in a workbook I created using Canva. They pull out a sheet they like, put in on a clipboard &fill it out.

Recently our students learned how to dribble and trap a ball with their feet. They used our PE alphabet word wall and our boxlight board as a tech resource to guide their instruction in addition to self selecting their own size/type of ball.

S’s learned the basics of the underhand throw with teacher designed activities which included a timer, a GIF of the skill, cues, pictures, and learning objectives. Then—they created their own throwing challenges using the equipment from the previously learned games. Win-Win!
