They killed the leopard brutally ! Purnia, Bihar, India. Hundreds gathered together to kill the leopard — ironically "The International Big Cat Alliance" (IBCA) is a treaty-based intergovernmental organization headquartered in New Delhi, India to conserve seven principal big cat species: the tiger, lion, leopard, snow leopard, cheetah, jaguar, and puma.  Story in detail via @DainikBhaskar Villagers said that for the last four days, the leopard had been hiding around fields and banana plantations near the Tikapatti Godiyar road. The leopard had already killed a goat and two calves. Since then, villagers had been living in fear and staying indoors after sunset. Laborers were working in the fields when the leopard suddenly emerged from the bushes and attacked them. It first attacked Vijay Kumar Yadav. After that, Sonu Kumar Mandal, Prabhash Kumar Sah, and Nitish Kumar also came under attack. The sudden attack caused panic in the fields. Workers began running in all directions to save themselves and started shouting loudly. Hearing the screams, nearby villagers rushed to the spot. Within no time, hundreds of people gathered in the area. Seeing itself surrounded, the leopard became even more aggressive and kept trying to attack people. Enraged villagers then launched repeated attacks on the leopard. The leopard was critically injured by sharp weapons and died on the spot. After the leopard was killed, villagers felt relieved. One injured person was also bitten by a snake Those injured in the incident — Vijay Kumar Yadav, Sonu Kumar Mandal, Prabhash Kumar Sah, and Nitish Kumar — were admitted to Rupouli Referral Hospital for treatment. Injured Sonu Kumar Mandal was also bitten by a snake while trying to flee, worsening his condition. As soon as information was received, Tikapatti police station in-charge Abhishek Kumar arrived at the spot with police personnel. The forest department team took custody of the leopard’s body and began postmortem procedures. Villagers alleged that leopard cubs had also been seen in the same area last year, but the forest department took no concrete action. People said that if a search operation had been conducted in time, the attack on workers and the leopard’s death could have been avoided. Banmankhi Range Ranger Ram Pravesh Thakur said that preliminary investigation suggests the leopard may have strayed from another area. Following reports of another leopard in the region, the forest department is continuing search operations. Conclusion: We have eaten up all spaces or homes of wildlife in India.
