As AMK doesn't want to piss off his precious vatnik subscribers I will explain the discrepancy. Russians are advancing. They can collect the instane number of their meat themselves on the occupied territories. I know this concept can be hard for vatniks to comprehend. Hope this helps.

Australia remains steadfast in our support for Ukraine and we are pleased to be providing an additional $100 million in assistance to Ukraine for vital military equipment. We will make two additional $50 million contributions to the Prioritised Ukraine Requirements List (PURL) over 2026-27. In partnership with NATO, Australia is supporting Ukraine to secure the critical military equipment and capabilities it needs to defend itself against Russia’s unjustified and unprovoked invasion.

@DanielLDavis1 yup agree with this. these images are being sent around the world and bring humiliation on all russians. UK elite may be slapping themselves on the back right now, but one thing ive learnt about the russians is they never forget and they always get their payback.

I know supporters of Ukraine will cheer this on, but these kinds of hits will no more knock Russia out of the war than the past three years of Russian strikes throughout Ukraine have not knocked them out of the war. HOWEVER… These big public strikes on important centers are more likely to spur Russia to EXPAND its war against Ukraine rather than cause them to contract. Thus, the perverse likely outcome: *successful* Ukrainian strikes into the heart of Russia will push Putin to hit Ukraine even harder, killing more UAF soldiers and destroying more of the country. What these strikes WON’T do is help Ukraine win the war.

Russia is not winning this war. And Ukraine is now stronger on the battlefield. Today, with EU leaders, we will discuss how to further increase pressure on the Kremlin and push it towards negotiations. The swift adoption of our 21st package of sanctions will be an important step in that direction. My press remarks ahead of today’s #EUCO meeting ↓

In October 2025, Ukraine launched 150 drones at Moscow Oblast in one day. Not a single drone was able to impact. Today, in June 2026, Ukraine launched hundreds of drones at Moscow, of which a minimum of 8 impacted (probably more). Russia's interception rate of Ukrainian long-range drones is still very high, probably over 90%, but Ukrainian drones are of much higher quality now, and the Ukrainian command has learned from past mistakes on how to successfully carry out these long-range strikes. I don't think Russia's air defence has gotten any worse. I would even argue it's improved because of their interceptor drone programme. One thing people forget to take into account is the fact that Russia is the largest country in the world, making it impossible to completely cover it with air defence. The fact is, Ukraine hast just gotten a lot better at drone warfare, and is continuing to improve their capabilities.

Great point - the US needs to show they have teeth or the deal falls apart. the impact on americans if Iran goes back to strikes on American bases will be brutal - all this going in to the midterms campaign. Trump will get hammered - he has no choice but to put his foot down, even if they have photos.

Iran just canceled Swiss talks over Israeli strikes in Lebanon, and JD Vance just scrapped his trip too How is this deal supposed to hold if the US can't contain Israel? A fragile deal is already on thin ice thehill.com/homenews/ap/ap…

@YevKopiika the strikes by Ukraine with support from the UK and Germany on Moscow are really quite something. it looks like a scene from WW2, right before the russians rolled into Berlin (before the americans).

@DanJoergensen fair, thats the right of Europe to choose its suppliers and the price it pays for energy and access. Please do not complain if it negatively impacts the input costs of your businesses.

As of yesterday, Russian pipeline gas under existing short-term contracts is no longer allowed into the EU. One step at a time, we are phasing out all remaining imports of Russian gas from our system. The goal is clear: getting to zero. #REPowerEU

🇷🇺🇺🇦 Possible Russian strike prep being flagged Russian strategic bomber activity is reportedly picking up over the western regions. The read from those tracking it: possible preparation for a fresh missile strike on Ukraine. Nothing's been launched and nothing's confirmed. This is early chatter, not a verified movement. 🇷🇺🇺🇦 Massive Ukrainian strikes hit an oil refinery in Moscow, and now the whole place is choked in black smoke. It is getting wild, and people are even reporting oil rain falling over parts of the city and suburbs. We were promised flying cars. Somehow we got oil rain instead. Writer: Daniyal

@rshereme russia is collapsing. The russian economy is sinking like the russian navy. Now russia has to sell a little crude oil at a discount and buy gasoline at a premium. There will also be massive crop failure this year. Putin needs to prioritize the needs of the people.

Ukraine continues to impose fiery sanctions on russia. Today, the Moscow Oil Refinery was hit for the second time in a week. The Moscow Oil Refinery is a key facility in russia’s oil refining industry, with a processing capacity of up to 11 million tons of oil per year. The plant supplies up to 40% of Moscow’s gasoline needs and about 50% of its diesel fuel. As a result of systematic Ukrainian strikes, russia’s oil production has fallen to a yearly low, while gasoline output has dropped to its lowest level in 16 years. Also, for the first time in history, russia has been forced to import fuel from abroad. Read that twice. Russia - the world’s second-largest oil exporter - is now buying refined gasoline from Asia because it can no longer reliably produce enough of its own.

Russia's economy has proven more resilient than many expected, but four years of war are taking their toll. Financial buffers are running low, growth has stalled, labor shortages are severe, and dependence on China is growing by the day. For the first time, Russia's economic weaknesses are beginning to look structural rather than temporary. The opportunity is there—the question is whether the West is prepared to increase the pressure.
