The COVID-19 pandemic has changed a lot about our work, how we interact with health workers as well as the woman we serve across rural communities but our mission remains the same. We are here to make that positive change happen for mother’s and their babies everywhere ❤️

Today we celebrate the work of the United Nations in promoting health and wellbeing, fostering peace and equality and promoting sustainable development across nations. Our world is certainly a better place because of the #UN #UNDAY2019 #74thAnniversary

In every crisis, children are the most affected. Climate change impacts their health and general wellbeing negatively. It is our collective responsibility to ensure our environment is safe, secure and healthy. In anticipation of the #UnitedNationsDay2019 #ClimateActionForPeace

Capacity strengthening of human resource for health, especially in rural communities where limited skilled care is available cannot be overemphasized. Through continued trainings, we ensure that women in as many communities as possible can access quality maternal healthcare.

Through our community sensitization programs, we encourage pregnant women to engage in behaviors that reduce pregnancy-related health risks. Antenatal attendance in health centers is also emphasized to ensure women are adequately monitored throughout the period of their pregnancy

Basic newborn resuscitation is a training that every birth attendant must consistently undergo. When basic resuscitation is done correctly newborns in communities with limited skilled care and resources are saved from brain damage and death from birth asphyxia.

Working hard to ensure women get more opportunities to live, watch their babies grow, take up leadership positions and contribute to the economic prosperity of their nation. #MyMandelaLegacy #YALI2019 @YALINetwork @WashFellowship

Kangaroo care should not only be practiced by women. Fathers should be encouraged to participate as this promotes early bonding between father and child. #Kangaroofathercare #lowweightbabies
