A lot of the reoccurring problems Coventry had in that poor run before January was they became easy to play through, easy to transition against & easy to find joy centrally against them. I can’t even tell you from what I’ve seen how ridiculous of a signing Frank Onyeka has been to stop them things from occurring as often, oh and he clearly can strike a ball. What a signing, they’ve kept 4 cleans sheets in the 9 games he’s played, they’ve won 8 of them games.

Really enjoying this Birmingham half of their players keep passing back to Beadle when he can’t kick a ball properly for love nor money and then being put under pressure immediately. Their players have to be smarter than this

Teams that use a diamond press who don’t have athletic midfielders are going to struggle. You need every timing/jump to be correct for it to be effective for a sustained period of time. Coventry switched from a staggered 442 press to diamond & haven’t been the same since
