Canada has been stolen from us and it couldn't be more obvious. Justin Trudeau resigns... Mark Carney is put on the leadership ballot despite not ever holding a seat as an elected MP. Liberal party allows non-citizens to vote but not citizens with other party affiliations. Liberal party kicks certain Mps off the ballot. Only 151,000 ballots cast and Mark Carney is now Prime Minister. A few months later a general election is held and after more shenanigans, Mark Carney wins a minority government. Fast forward to 2026... Mark Carney gets the first majority government in Canadian history that was created through floor crossings and background deals. All the while the government funded mainstream media and the liberal party talk of Canada, talk about protecting democracy & Canadian sovereignty. And then debate, committees, etc are all shut down as they jam through bills that do nothing to help Canadians and actually create a technocratic authoritarian state. But go ahead and tell me he wasn't installed and that this is the will of the electorate - in motion. He was installed, they stole the majority and now they are changing the rule of law in live time. Tell me again how this does not circumvent democracy, does not put at risk and attack our sovereignty, and is in no way authoritarian at all?

Here is what we know: U.S. taxpayer money, funneled through USAID and NIH, funded gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. That research likely caused the COVID pandemic that killed millions and cost trillions. Dr. Fauci personally signed off on these experiments, then lied to Congress about it. Biden tried to protect him with a last-minute pardon. That’s the very definition of a cover-up.

ENOUGH. 🚨 Developers took the profits on the way up. Now Mark Carney wants taxpayers to absorb the losses on the way down? That's not a free market. That's privatized profits and socialized losses. If condos aren't selling, cut the price. Don't send the bill to working Canadians.

The circus has begun. You have little to no idea who this WEF puppet Andy Burnham is. A left wing tax and spend socialist who is a Manchurian candidate operating on behalf of the corporatists and oligarchs that control this country. A man sent to destroy what’s left of this once great country. A man who will surround himself with other puppets dedicated to that same ideal. The UK needs an election not a coronation. If that does not work then certainly a revolution.

the market has an answer. No subsidies, for anyone, ever. If the developer wants to move the property, lower the price. If the bank forecloses, they lower the price, and liquidate. Are lower shelter prices ( affordability) a bad thing?
wealthmoose@wealthmoose

Mark Carney; Prime Minister of Canada 🇨🇦 "...developers are stuck. They don't want to sell at a loss. They can't afford to hold those empty units indefinitely." He’s sounding more like a real estate agent ..🧐🤨

Tim Hortons has divided Canada into 62 "price clusters," testing prices four times a year and adjusting them based on local competition, labour costs and income. The goal, per the company's own court filing: "balancing competitiveness with profitability." Between 2021 and 2024, general inflation rose 18.4%. Tim Hortons prices in Quebec rose 21.1%. (2/6)

Canadians are hearing 2 messages at the same time. 1. There are not enough homes - 5 million shortage. 2. There are too many new homes and they’re sitting unsold. The truth, these condos will sell - at the right price. Condo developers made the bad decision to build 450 square foot condos nobody wants especially when asking price is too high. Another truth, taxpayers should not be bailing these developers out.

“You already have national debt amounting to 2.5 trillion euros, and no serious economist has any idea how you ever plan to pay that back. And now you want to take on another 1 trillion euros to arm yourselves against us. Do you want the Russian people to foot that bill? Never!”
Ratko R.@RatkoR2

Warum sollten wir also euer Land erobern? Um Probleme zu lösen, die wir sonst gar nicht hätten? Realistisch betrachtet: Selbst wenn ihr uns rufen, kapitulieren und weiße Fahnen hissen würdet, würden wir trotzdem nicht kommen!

This is Canada's version of the subprime mortgage crash in 2008. But instead of banks selling bad mortgages, Vancouver's collapse comes as a result of unchecked Chinese money laundering that began at least 30 years ago and extends back as far as 40 years. When $300,000 condos are suddenly selling for $1 million+ you have a problem. Everyone who lived in Vancouver knew the market was doomed. In order for that type of inflation to continue, the money had to keep flowing. The municipal, provincial and federal governments would have to turn a blind eye or comply with what was happening. The banks would have to facilitate it. The bubble deflation isn't coming as a result of government crackdowns—they were always more than happy to take their bribes. The banks were perfectly fine moving the money and the developers made billions. Nobody involved grew a conscience at any point. What happened was the money itself slowed down. They simply ran out of properties to own and Chinese organized crime found other ways to move their cash. They turned Toronto's housing market into another bubble and bought our federal Liberal government via Justin Trudeau and Mark Carney. There's no reason to hide money in real estate if you don't have to. Now the speculators have stopped speculating, the money launderers are moving onto other schemes and the average family in Vancouver can't begin to afford a million dollar shoebox so nobody is buying. 2500 empty condos in Vancouver. A multi-million dollar pit in Richmond. The right thing to do is let it all implode and allow the market to correct itself. Yes, people will lose money on the value of their homes and condos, but anyone who pays $1 million+ for a 600 sq ft condo should be aware of the risk. Instead, Carney is going to bail out the developers who were very much part of the money laundering scheme and we're going to pay for it. This will give the bubble another year of life but it will eventually burst, and in the end, Canadians will pay for it again.
Kirk Lubimov@KirkLubimov

Mark Carney basically announcing a bail out for Vancouver and area developers; Too many completed condos sitting empty. Metro Vancouver alone around 2,500 finished units are standing vacant with no buyers. They don't want to sell at a loss, they can't afford to hold those empty units indefinitely. We will convert vacant condos into affordable housing. We're going to go use the right financing mechanisms, convert those into affordable housing so people can move in and use that." Greed and horrible municipal planning has led to building overpriced shitboxes that no one wants. Now Carney will reward that with taxpayer dollars instead of letting the market solve itself by bringing the prices down. Absurd intervention. I thought he was an economist??

The British just forced Mark Carney's friend Keir Starmer out of office. He's done a terrible job as prime minister of the United Kingdom. But by every objective metric, he's actually done a slightly BETTER job than Mark Carney. Is it time for Canadians to do the same to Mark Carney?

My math isnt mathing! 🧮 • How does buying nearly 2200 condos at a cost of 1.5m per unit = affordable housing? Interesting to think Carney and Bob Rennie are buddys. Is the "condo king" and Carnival (perhaps Brookfield also) have a alterior motive? nah never, right?? Just a coincidence 🤔 Carney and Eby step in with $3.2B home development subsidy - Business in Vancouver 🤔
