@omolere There are more than 5 million Igbos living in Lagos, can you show us 10 different Igbos that accused Yoruba landlords for not accepting them in their house! An inconsequential person will make a statement Yorubas will start parroting it because that’s what they want to hear!

If Yoruba people sold all their lands to the Igbos, how come Yoruba landlords are accused of not accepting Igbo tenants?
John Olive@JohnOlive638753

@RidwanuLlah No not an ideology but a daylight truth. 'Own' not in the sense it's their ancestral land but in the sense that the Yoruba sold almost every piece of land in Lagos to Igbos as it is in most cities in Nigeria where Igbos migrate to do business. It's a daylight truth bro

@iamcarsino @chudy_jnr Go check his tweet. First he was responding to what people are saying about his podcast interview. He talked about Igbos investments and still acknowledged other people effort, then someone from nowhere asked him to take his investment elsewhere!

That “Igbos built Lagos” or “Igbos developed the Lagos economy” line that some of us keep throwing around is not really an achievement to brag about. Have Igbos contributed immensely to Lagos's growth? Absolutely. There is no argument about that. But let’s not act like it was an act of charity. Igbos invested in Lagos and continue to invest in Lagos because the city’s economy has also rewarded us greatly. It has never been a one-sided relationship. It is mutualism. As much as we talk about what Igbos have done for the Lagos economy, we should also talk about what the Lagos economy has done for millions of Igbos who have built businesses, created wealth, raised families, and found opportunities there. Both sides have benefited. That’s the reality.

@iamcarsino @chudy_jnr Nobody can deny that, but they’re always reply to insults. People are angry that their rich people are concentrating their wealth in another people’s land and those that are benefiting are insulting them because of that! How will you feel when you see yourself in that situation?

@iamcarsino @chudy_jnr Kindly show me the stand alone tweet! Yesterday was because of anger in the air! Even though there are some airheads from Igboland but your people are always first to provoke them. Why would Igbos brag about investing in Lagos when majority of Igbos are against those investments?

When I say everyone is forced to be in Lagos, I’m not saying it to fuel whatever tribal supremacy battle you people are fighting. It’s important to clarify this. I no follow una do that one o. When I say everyone is forced to be in Lagos, I’m talking about the capitalistic project that is Lagos. The real owners of lagos are the capital owners like Tinubu, Dangote, Otedola, Emeka Ofor, and people in that class. Those are the people Lagos is designed for. And you can confirm this by looking at how much of Lagos’ land and means of production they own. As long as you are a working class, you don’t own Lagos. it doesn’t matter if you are from Lagos, Ogun, Osun, Ekiti, Kano or Enugu. You are just a victim of the system that designed “Lagos.” Any day lagos stress kills you from jumping from one hustle to another, slaving for capitalism, you will be moved to the cemetery to make way for the next victim. It’s important to understand these distinctions so you don’t go shouting on an empty stomach defending Lagos for the real owners.
Biggest Mack@Big_Mck

Everyone is forced to be in Lagos. And I mean “deliberately” forced to be in Lagos to serve capitalism. You probably don’t know this because you don’t understand how the capitalist economy of Nigeria is set up to work. When you extract the value of the whole country and concentrate it in one location, it serves the capitalists, as people will be forced by lack of activities to leave their original location (where they live rent free and grow their own food) to Lagos where they will have no choice than slave for capitalism just to afford to pay for the same rent and food they had for free. Capitalism needs people who are desperate to eat and pay rent to survive. It was not by accident that every headquarters and every key infrastructure and public service was concentrated in Lagos. It was deliberate. It’s also not by accident that insecurity is trafficked everywhere else before it get to Lagos. It is deliberate. It’s very important you educate yourself on how systems work, to avoid embarrassing yourself by asking people if they are forced to be in Lagos. Of course, they are forced to be in Lagos.

@iamcarsino @chudy_jnr The rapper was replying to a tweet, some people can manage insults but not everyone! Yorubas will look away when their people insults Igbos but immediately a single Igbo responds they’ll put it on all Igbos! You can’t continue calling people economic migrants in their own country.
