@jmhart1 I think that's downplaying the significance of this step. Yes it would be great if we were all equal but that's not currently the case in society. So I think it's good to celebrate these milestones.

@codonn @cremieuxrecueil This is basically a self-own because it underscores how blandly uncontroversial “eugenics” (sensu lato) is. Eg in the US we have virtually eliminated new cases of Tay-Sachs through genetic screening. This is 1) definitely eugenics 2) unequivocally good.

@LROYSTON Why do people think once money is taxed then it's free from tax for evermore? I pay VAT when I buy something from the shop using my 'already taxed' income. Tax is usually applied any time money changes hands, inheritance (for rich people) is no exception

Inheritance Tax is a big scam. You've already paid tax on it or interest rates, so when you die, you get taxed again on what you've built for your family. It's a scam. The threshold is way too low as it is now.
