The family of Dr Hussam Abu Safiya, recently abducted by the Israeli army as his hospital in northern Gaza was destroyed, have been told he's in a critical condition after being severely tortured. We know at least two other senior doctors from Gaza have been tortured to death.

This is unforgivable.

Israel's Haaretz newspaper reports that an Israeli drone assassinated two Palestinian cousins, boys aged 8 and 10, as they were in the yard of the families' home in the West Bank getting ready for school. The Israeli army claims it was targeting militants suspected of laying improvised explosives. Soldiers then smashed their way into the families' house, ransacked them, beat a paramedic trying to save the children, and pointed their rifles at one of the mothers as she tried to hold her son, forcing her back into the house. Finally, the soldiers seized the boys' bodies, only returning them to the families many hours later. Events like this have been happening to Palestinian families for many, many decades, invariably unreported by western media. Palestinian anger and resistance is then presented by that same media as irrational hatred and terrorism.

For decades Britain's Charity Commission has treated as charitable the fundraising activities of Zionist groups, like the Jewish National Fund, supporting Israel's theft of land from Palestinians and ethnic cleansing. Finally, it has drawn a very feeble line at such groups raising money for Israeli soldiers serving in an army currently being investigated by the ICJ for committing genocide. The Chabad "charity" has been issued a warning. Meanwhile, fundraising in the UK to assist other crimes against the Palestinian people actively continue with the Charity Commission's blessing. We are appalled that an Israeli airstrike last night killed at least 30 Palestinians, including children, who were sheltering in a post office. Nowhere is safe for families in Gaza. They need a ceasefire. They need the UK to suspend all arms sales to the Government of Israel.

This happened on Human Rights Day. Don’t stop talking about Gaza.

Remember how we were told for years that Israel was right to fear being wiped off the map. It was always a nonsense that the only nuclear-armed state in the Middle East was in existential peril. But now Israel is showing how ready it is to wipe its neighbours off the map.

This is not Gaza, this is Lebanon now... Israel just bombed an entire village in Lebanon, violated Security Council resolution SCR 1701 and international law with absolutely no consequences. This is another war crime and the International Criminal Court remains silent.
