@cullimore41 Yeah I followed favorite players like Shaq, Kobe, LeBron up until the Thunder moved to OKC. I was hoping for a team to KC at the time but decided to roll with the Thunder once they made the announcement.

@znewman2187 I have zero nba affiliation. I just appreciate great players. I've been a Bron stan for a long time simply to fight the jordan will never be touched people. I also appreciate SGA much more than the majority of basketball fans.

@cullimore41 @DerekYoungKSO well that’s basically the only option Tech has in order to please everyone. If he plays (which, again, I don’t think he should), the entire fucking world hates Tech. If Tech kicks him off the team, he will sue Tech since he has a legal court order to play. lose-lose situation.

Great post, and this is part is absolutely spot on! “There is a difference between defending the person and defending the mistake. Texas Tech is in an impossible spot. Deep down, they may have hoped the final ruling would remove the decision from their hands. Exhaust every option, support the player, let the process play out, and if he is ruled ineligible, accept it. That is the cleanest outcome for a program trying to balance loyalty, discipline, public pressure, and competitive integrity.”

@royalsclubhouse It's a calculated risk either way. Had the A's been good this year and/or next they could have built the fanbase more. The novelty of a new ballpark would have still been there.

I don’t understand why the A’s didn’t just use the Las Vegas ballpark they’re playing in right now. It’s similar to where they play in Sacramento — a minor‑league stadium — but at least you’d be in the city you’re actually relocating to.

Statement from Big 12 Commissioner Brett Yormark:
“The ramifications of today’s ruling are significant and could have broad impacts across college athletics, creating great concern amongst our membership. I’ve been consulting with our key stakeholders and have scheduled meetings with our Conference ADs and Executive Board this week. We are also in touch with Charlie Baker and anticipate the NCAA to appeal the order in the next 24-48 hours. We will continue to monitor and evaluate the situation.”

Since betting on your own football games as a competitor in those games isn't enough of a line for him to be banned (like Jontay Porter, Pete Rose, dozens of other examples), what is the line? What would he have had to do for Tech fans to agree with literally everyone else?
