ugh, why can't there be a simple native way to create webcomponents. I'm comparing lit and rocket right now. I want less javascript though.

ever since using ai for work, been over 4months now, its written > 90% of my code (with alot of steering from me) . There have been a few moments during these 4 months that have absolutely floored me, gobsmacked with what it was able to do. I can't imagine life without it!

This sends a clear message, not only to Taiwan 🇹🇼, but to Japan 🇯🇵, South Korea 🇰🇷 the Philippines 🇵🇭 and other sovereign asian-Pacific nations. (including US territories; Guam, Hawaii, …) USA 🇺🇸 now considers supporting defense security in the western Pacific … too far away!

Trump on Taiwan: When you look at the odds, China is a very, very powerful, big country. That’s a very small island. Think of it; it’s 59 miles away. We’re 9,500 miles away. That’s a little bit of a difficult problem. If you look at the history, Taiwan was developed because we had presidents that didn’t know what the hell they were doing. They stole our chip industry.

@jlchavezGT @PaulMaddison121 Please show me razor to do the same thing, which is simpler :) I think jsx and razor are on par regarding simplicity.

I added JSX syntax to C# (Roslyn), and built a React-like UI framework POC. Here it is in action, rendering my CSX component, incrementing state from a button click handler, re-rendering, and hot reload!

@PaulMaddison121 Razor is not extensible - this implementation of CSX syntax allows the user to tell the compiler what csx “runtime” to lower to, just like jsx. So people can build a browser, console, Maui, wpf, Godot “runtime” - not possible with razor

help, how do you deal with a hover effect that makes things unaligned? is it just bad practice to alter the width of elements on hover?

Man, does anyone care about Aspire outside of Microsoft? It feels like the AI hype has overshadowed one of the coolest projects that launched in a very unfortunate time, solving a problem everyone already had a solution for

I love how "being written in rust" is now part of the selling point of many dev tools... 🙃🙃🙃

@demigor @davidfowl I never said that and you know I never said that. Zig can crash. Unlike Rust, it doesn’t advertise itself as a language that can’t.

Happy to announce TSRX. Think it as the spiritual successor to JSX. We extracted it from Ripple, and made it framework agnostic. It can compile to React, Ripple and Solid, other frameworks to come soon. It's a TypeScript superset language, with a parser, compiler and a selection of plugins for editors + Prettier + ESlint, etc It's early alpha but we thought people might be interested in it. 🧵

@josefajardo @bonkerbagdarrel Who cares about hourly rate? I'd be happy to get 15$/hour if costs of living like a week of your work. All is wrong metrics. Good metrics: how many days a year you work for taxes. How many for your housing. How many for food. What's left for capitalising
