@_Kristine_A My 14 yo just got her first debit card and it is funny. She went out with friends and asked me multiple times before she left if she is supposed to tap it, insert it, or slide it.

@HendrixKomoto I'm glad you found something. Yesterday I was looking through the census data for Cassia county in 1870, 1880, and 1890. In 1870 there were 0 Black people in Cassia, in 1880 there were also 0, and in 1890 there was one.

What is the book you regularly recommend when people ask you about Latter-day Saint history titles?

@jkimballcook As a sex crimes prosecutor, this is especially true. Perpetrators use it to shift blame away from themselves. It also allows families of perpetrators to do the same, blaming porn, rather than the abuser. It is a very dangerous line of thinking.

I am extremely skeptical of guys who say they have a p*rn addiction. It often feels like an attempt to minimize responsibility and cast themselves as victims instead of agents. A habit and an addiction are not the same thing.

@HendrixKomoto I wish the hardcover was on sale. Regardless, $12 is a steal for this great book.

This is the best book I have read this year. 5 stars. It is so much more than a history of the six disciplined in 1993. Rather, it really looks at the church’s dealings with feminists, intellectuals, and LGBTQ+ @signaturebooks @SaraMPatterson
