Domestic LPG for 33 crore households is still sitting comfortably at ₹913, completely unchanged despite months of global conflict and supply shocks. But sure, let's all panic over commercial cylinders used by hotels, which is less than 1% of National consumption. Very brave journalism, Zubair. Selective outrage level: expert. Facts still optional for you, I see.

The price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder has been hiked by ₹993, effective today. In Delhi, the new cost stands at ₹3,071.50 per cylinder.

Why does ANY TV channel call @_YogendraYadav as an ‘expert’ in these election debates? His record of getting predictions and analysis wrong is comparable only to @RahulGandhi’s election defeats! The man has been regurgitating the same stuff since 2014! Thankfully, he seems to have retired the smelly, unwashed gamcha that he used to wear since 2014!

I have zero respect for politicians like Mamta, Lalu, Mulayam, Akhilesh, Sonia-Rahul and many more…. One common reason is: The end goal of “politics” should be to improve life of people and thus sever various societies, states and country. That covers all the aspects such as water, electricity, jobs, health, enterprise, infrastructure, schools, universities, security, entertainment et al. All these leaders stated above (and many more can be added in the list) indulged in to politics just for the end goal of Power, fame, money and dynasty rule. Development of state for improving the life by bringing prosperity, health & happiness were never in their minds. Worst part is that they all indulged in dividing people and even the killing of people as if mere collaterals for winning elections. After grabbing the power, remained steeped in corruption, building wealth from illegal public money, targeted opponents to hold on to power, appeased minority community to the hilt at the cost of majority. Their politics can’t be called politics. It is organized mafia syndicate wherein people-society-state-country are not to be served but to be used, exploited and thrown away. If one has to judge & find a real political leader, try to understand his/her prime motivations to be in politics. That’ll give you the judgement and that will never fail.

This is a blatant lie and pure propaganda. ⚠️ 👉 There is no evidence that land is being handed to Adani... because Adani has nothing to do with the Great Nicobar Project. Yet Rahul Gandhi repeats the same claim to mislead people and benefit China. 🚨 This is a government-led strategic project * Positioned at the Malacca Strait choke point * Critical for India’s trade & naval power * Reduces dependence on foreign ports Now the question is... why is Rahul Gandhi working on China's behalf?

As a common man I don’t understand the importance of the Nicobar project yet. But the minute @RahulGandhi took the effort to fly there and make a video and oppose the project, I understand that this project means great for India and India’s National security and economic prowess! The dream of the Cholas must come true! The Great Nicobar project !

Stop crying ‘government is screwing us’ without understanding the basics. This ₹993 hike isn’t policy greed, it’s global oil shock hitting a country that imports most of its LPG. The government actually froze domestic cylinder prices to protect households, which means commercial users like restaurants are absorbing the hit. That’s a political choice, not incompetence, but looking at how your party performs one is not surprised on political accumen! Yes, the real problem is taxation, compliance burden, and lack of input credit in hospitality, not this one price hike. If you want to be taken seriously, attack the tax structure and policy design and not global crude prices that India doesn’t control.
Tehseen Poonawalla Official 🇮🇳@tehseenp

Prices of 19 KG Commercial cylinder has been increased by Rs 993 from today. The govt will continue to screw restaurants & hotels & the service industry! Hotel owners have to Pay taxes, bribes, don't get input tax credit, & yet be treated like $h¡t despite creating jobs & stimulating the economy!

Rahul Gandhi and the INC are questioning development today, but where were these concerns earlier? When the INC approved the Sethusamudram Shipping Canal Project, it involved cutting near Ram Setu and raised serious concerns about coral reefs and marine life, yet it was cleared at the time before being halted later. Now, the same voices oppose the Great Nicobar Development Project over environmental concerns, despite its strategic importance for ports, trade routes, and security. The real question is simple: why is there selective outrage when it comes to national projects?

I am a Naval Veteran and Merchant Navy officer, and this is why I think @RahulGandhi is wrong on Great Nicobar. From an Indian national interest standpoint, Great Nicobar is not a “scam”; it is a strategic port located astride one of the most critical maritime chokepoints on earth, close to the Strait of Malacca, where a huge share of global trade moves every day. India cannot afford to treat Great Nicobar as a sentimental issue when it is a rare natural asset for maritime power, deterrence, and economic security. Yes, Great Nicobar is ecologically sensitive. India respects that. But national strategy is about balancing environmental safeguards with long-term security, logistics, and sovereignty. The current project is designed around an international container transshipment terminal, a dual-use airport, power infrastructure, and a planned township -all of which strengthen Indian Navy’s ability to monitor international sea lanes, improve military response times, and reduce commercial dependence on foreign transshipment hubs. To dismiss this as “destruction dressed in development’s language” is politically convenient, but strategically shallow. This kind of language suits our adversaries rather than us. India’s maritime future cannot be secured by empty slogans. It will be secured by developing ports, airfields, logistics nodes, surveillance, and persistent military presence in the Indo-Pacific. That is exactly why Great Nicobar matters. The real question is not whether development should happen, but how to execute strategic development responsibly while protecting our National interest. We can and should demand strict environmental compliance, tribal safeguards, and transparent implementation not reject a project that strengthens India’s maritime security simply because it is complex and uncomfortable. Great Nicobar is not just an island. It is a test of whether India can step up to its destined role as a great maritime power or remain trapped in slogan politics.
Rahul Gandhi@RahulGandhi

I travelled through Great Nicobar today. These are the most extraordinary forests I have ever seen in my life. Trees older than memory. Forests that took generations to grow. The people on this island are equally beautiful - both the adivasi communities and the settlers - but they are being robbed of what is rightfully theirs. The government calls what it is doing here a “Project.” What I have seen is not a project. It is millions of trees marked for the axe. It is 160 square kilometres of rainforest condemned to die. It is communities that have been ignored while their homes have been snatched away. This is not development. This is destruction dressed in development’s language. So I will say it plainly, and I will keep saying it: what is being done in Great Nicobar is one of the biggest scams and gravest crimes against this country’s natural and tribal heritage in our lifetime. It must be stopped. And it can be stopped - if Indians choose to see what I have seen.

India’s political parties are not democracies. They are family businesses. Congress — Sonia Gandhi’s son NCP — Sharad Pawar’s daughter RJD — Lalu Prasad’s son SP — Mulayam Singh Yadav’s son Akali Dal — Badal’s son TMC — Mamata Banerjee’s nephew JDS — Deve Gowda’s son BSP — Mayawati’s nephew TRS — KCR’s son TDP — Chandrababu Naidu’s son Shiv Sena — Uddhav Thackeray’s son National Conference — Farooq Abdullah’s son YSRCP — Rajasekhara Reddy’s son LJP — Ram Vilas Paswan’s son JMM — Shibu Soren’s son BJD — Biju Patnaik’s son PDP — Mufti Mohammad Sayeed’s daughter RLD — Ajit Singh’s son INLD — Chautala’s son DMK — Karunanidhi’s son Every party worries about heirs. Not the country. Not democracy. Every party fights for their throne, their dynasty, their bloodline. The only exception? BJP. Loyalty to Bharat, not to a family. India deserves leaders, not heirs. India deserves democracy, not dynasties.

Connect the dots..... The Great Nicobar Island Project ₹75,000-90,000 crore mega project that includes: 📌International Container Transshipment Terminal at Galathea Bay. 📌Greenfield international airport. (capable of handling large military aircrafts) 📌Township and infrastructure. (use for military logistics staff) 📌Power plants. (gas + solar) 📌Upgraded naval and air facilities nearby. The islands already host India's tri-services command (Army, Navy, Air Force). Now China is squirming in its seat due to this project BECAUSE.... 1. It includes expansion of bases like INS Baaz which allows 📌Deployment of fighter jets. 📌Long range surveillance aircrafts. 📌Anti submarine operations. 2. Great Nicobar Islands lie very close to the Malacca Strait, through which a large portion of global trade and oil passes. 3. Controlling or monitoring this area gives India huge strategic leverage, especially against China's shipping routes. So, China is frustrated, agitated and displeased about this whole project, but can do nothing about it as the Nicobar islands are Indias sovereign land. Consequently China is keen to block this project from going ahead. Result : Who objects to this project in India ... immediately ???? 🔴 Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi!!! If you know you know !!!

Have to disagree with Ruchir Sharma’s view on India facing indifference from foreign investors as far as AI is concerned. While I do agree that India’s R&D budgets are too low. - India is prioritizing developing its own foundational models to ensure data sovereignty and reduce dependency on foreign platforms. - India has built its own AI models - GoI has pledged 10k crore - Microsoft, Google , Amazon, Reliance, Tata Group are heavily invested in building AI infrastructure and products - Ranks 3rd in Stanford Global AI vibrancy index The only reason I put this out is because it isn’t a wise idea to keep dismissing India’s capabilities and capacities.
