Happy Black American (BA) #HistoryMonth365! #BAHistoryisAmericanHistory, inextricably intertwined. My ancestors were born in America before it was a nation. We are uniquely American; different from the black diaspora & their ancestors born outside the U.S. We are foundational.

@MatNuclear @ANTHONYBLOGAN Africans and the diaspora, in 🇺🇸, can use their country and hypen as Europeans do. Black Americans, (hypen unnecessary) w/ancestors dating back b4 🇺🇸 was born, distinguish/delineate themselves. Others may have “dark” skin too. All skin folk are not kin folk. Not simple.

@ANTHONYBLOGAN Yes, there are cultural and national distinctions between the black race, but it doesn’t mean you aren’t black, you’re still black.
You’re simply black with a different culture and nationality.

@blacktwiterthrd The picture is to counteract racist propaganda that Black men are not involved with their kids. The saddest thing is even some of our own remain mind shackled. Plural = Dads; possessive = Dad’s.

People who engage in therapy have assessed the importance of self-examination to improve their lives and impacts on their relationships with others. Fine piece by @HolmanJenkins and what is needed now is well beyond therapy. Americans and their “leaders” need to get to it.
