🚧 @WorldBankAfrica implementation support mission is assessing progress this week on the 103.08 km Koboko–Yumbe–Moyo road upgrade in Uganda’s West Nile sub-region. The mission is reviewing overall performance, including safeguards, fiduciary compliance, and follow-up actions from previous reviews. It is also holding stakeholder engagements in Yumbe and Moyo districts, alongside site inspections along the corridor. As of 31 March 2026, physical progress stands at 38.1% (above the 33% target), reflecting steady implementation. The project is scheduled for completion in July 2027 and is expected to enhance regional connectivity and trade upon completion.

She locked their passports in her office and not even a single person at South African high commission, in Kampala can do anything. 📌Update The team on the Kampala Northern Bypass is currently laying the first layer of asphalt along a 700m section that was opened up and processed recently. The second and final layer will then be applied. This phase will take about one week. The contractor will then move towards Bwaise to undertake similar works.
