🚧 @WorldBankAfrica implementation support mission is assessing progress this week on the 103.08 km Koboko–Yumbe–Moyo road upgrade in Uganda’s West Nile sub-region. The mission is reviewing overall performance, including safeguards, fiduciary compliance, and follow-up actions from previous reviews. It is also holding stakeholder engagements in Yumbe and Moyo districts, alongside site inspections along the corridor. As of 31 March 2026, physical progress stands at 38.1% (above the 33% target), reflecting steady implementation. The project is scheduled for completion in July 2027 and is expected to enhance regional connectivity and trade upon completion.

I decided to dig a little deeper into Dynaco Limited, the local firm behind the new Ssezibwa Bridge — and their track record is impressive. Dynaco has worked on several projects in the Country. Did you know they worked as subcontractors on the Kla Flyover Project Underpass? 1/5

Spot on! Let’s go now! Indeed, Road Safety is a global challenge and because of this, it’s been embedded in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with a specific target to halve global road traffic deaths and injuries! Vehicle inspection is one of the most practical, evidence based methods some countries have used to reduce preventable crashes and save lives! @MoWT_Uganda

SOUTH AFRICAN VISAS UGANDAN PASSPORTS Guys, a person called MODJADJI MAHLANGU - Consular officer at South African High Commission, in Kampala took passports of Ugandans who had applied for visas. She locked their passports in her office and not even a single person at South African high commission, in Kampala can do anything. Her office was locked yesterday and locked today, some of the passports holders were meant to travel for 2 oceans marathons, paid tickets, accommodations and the high commission in Kampala says they don’t know where she is. SOUNDS LIKE A JOKE! @HomeAffairsSA what’s this? Ministry of foreign affairs Uganda( @mofaug ) please don’t take this lightly, follow it up and let Ugandans not be taken for granted. Tag South African authorities.

During the Apollo 16 mission in April 1972 the crew were tasked with putting the Lunar Roving Vehicle through a series of tests. Commander John Young drove the electrically powered rover through a series of maneuvers and acceleration to speeds of roughly 6–11 mph while Charles Duke (lunar module pilot) filmed it with a 16 mm camera from a safe distance. Video has been upscaled in quality synced with mission audio by Moonpans

I appreciate your input, but where did all that drama stem from, because I don't remember mentioning Eddy Kenzo's name in a negative way. It's a fan that made a statement, which he dignified with a response to try to belittle me, but I want you, Douglas, to remember that I am the Big One. He must apologize asap Rocky.
Douglas Lwanga@DouglasLwangaUg

Apass is deeply passionate about art, I saw his dedication firsthand during the era when Julius Kyazze was president of @UgandaMusicians . Eddy Kenzo also has put his music career on hold to help structure @unmfederationug and advocate for copyright. Honestly, @IamApass and @eddykenzoficial should just sit down over coffee. we need you both on the same team. The baganda say “Agalya Awamu….” Big love to you both 🫶 #NBSAfter5

📌Update The team on the Kampala Northern Bypass is currently laying the first layer of asphalt along a 700m section that was opened up and processed recently. The second and final layer will then be applied. This phase will take about one week. The contractor will then move towards Bwaise to undertake similar works. We regret the inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience as works continue.🙏🏾 @MoWT_Uganda

This year, under the theme ‘Corporate Governance – the Bridge to Artificial Intelligence’, we focus on how boards, company secretaries, and leaders can leverage AI responsibly to enhance decision-making, drive sustainability, and future-proof organizations. Over the course of today at Mestil Hotel, Kampala, we are engaging with thought leaders, governance experts, and practitioners from Uganda, across Africa, and internationally. Together, we will explore how corporate governance can bridge the world of technology and leadership – particularly artificial intelligence – to create sustainable, resilient, and ethically driven organizations. #DirectorsSecretariesConf #ICSAConf26
