The removal of the restrictions on accessing student loans is a commendable step by President Tinubu. But more needs to be done. The loans have to start being disbursed right away, and they should be interest-free. Furthermore, the Federal Government should offer recipients of these loans the opportunity to pay them off by working for the government after graduation and NYSC until they are paid back in full. Furthermore, the Federal Government should also offer the incentive of student loan debt cancellation for any graduate who agrees to join the armed forces after graduation. #TableShaker

@AKakanfo I became fully aware the day a church member on our platform said they were going to take Lagos, and there is nothing we can do about it. Obi winning Lagos gave them the temerity and false hope.

The PCC campaign coordinator for labour party in Lagos was not a Yoruba man. Most of the campaign coordinators for the labor party across Local governments and LCDAs in Lagos were non Yorubas. Many of their polling agents were non Yorubas. The gull:ible and stup:id Yoruba youths are good for voting but not good for top leadership within Labor party for mobilization and oversight of party activities in Lagos. The same thing happened in some states in the North. Many of their house of representatives candidates were non Yorubas. Money was contributed from across the world and other states outside the Southwest for the prosecution of the labor party campaign in Lagos. In fact, they prefer to lose the presidency and win the elections in Lagos. It was do or die for them to hijack Lagos from the Yorubas. Unfortunately, gullible Yoruba GenZs thought it was about good governance but some people from the South East and South South saw it as a declaration of war against Yorubas and a means of state capture. They unleashed all sorts of toxic propaganda against Yoruba history, Yoruba identity, Yoruba language and Yoruba leaders living and dead. When Oba of Bini or Sultan of Sokoto congratulated Tinubu, they ignored but when Ooni of Ife and any other Yoruba Oba congratulated Tinubu, they unleashed hate and vitriols against our Obas. The same sons and daughters of perd:tion are currently in twitter spaces calling for a coup d'etat in Nigeria. Any Yoruba politician young or Old that has not learnt any eternal memory about the reality of the type of politics played by other regions against Yoruba people will never learn again. This has always been the case since the 1950's yet Yorubas and Yoruba leaders have not learnt any lessons.

Listening to Peter Obi on space and I’m struggling to understand how millions of Nigerians arrive at the conclusion that he’s the man to lead this nation forward when he’s clearly more of a regional politician than a national project to lead a diverse country like Nigeria forward

It would be very unwise for Davido to take the counsel of an atheist like Professor Wole Soyinka, who is telling him he owes no apology to Muslims, over the video for the song jaye lo. This is a man who does not believe in God. How can he then know how people who believe in God feel? Islam belongs to Muslims, who assert that they received it from God. It is not for an atheist or a Christian or any practitioner of another religion other than Islam to tell them how to feel when their faith is used in ways they disapprove of. Is this not the same Professor Wole Soyinka who, just two weeks ago, on July 7, 2023, condemned the Emir of Ilorin for stopping an Osun priestess, Yeye Ajesikemi Omolara, from holding an Isese festival in Ilorin, and demanded redress for Osun worshippers? So, why is he now against redress for Muslims? Nigerians need to remember that this is the same Wole Soyinka who, on May 8, 2023, boasted that Peter Obi apologised to him in person over the attacks on his person by Obidients. Yet, he is here counselling Davido not to apologise to Muslims over a video they consider sacrilegious. Christians have also previously taken offence with movies and music that, in our view, are sacrilegious about the person of our Lord and Saviour. These include the movies The First Temptation of Christ and The Last Temptation of Christ. We collectively boycotted these movies and demanded an apology and their recall. We were also upset when Mallam Nasir El-Rufai made a crude joke about our Lord and Saviour. How will we feel if a Muslim celebrity comes out to say we do not deserve any apology for those movies and jokes? In Mark 12:31, our Lord told us to love our neighbour as ourselves. Muslims are our neighbours. They joined us in condemning El-Rufai when he made his crude Jesus joke. They united with us in asking him to apologise. Under pressure from both Christians and Muslims, El-Rufai apologised. Deleting the offending video is a first step for which I commend Davido. Apologising will put the matter to an end and assuage the hurt feelings of the Muslim Ummah. An elder should be known for putting out fires, not for adding fuel to flames. We need peaceful religious coexistence in Nigeria. We do not need religious rivalry. #TableShaker

Apple, an American company, is the largest company in the US Stock Market. AstraZeneca, a British pharmaceutical giant, is the largest firm in the UK stock market. SAP, a German conglomerate, is the largest concern in the German Stock Exchange. So, how come MTN, a South African firm, is the largest company in the Nigerian Stock Market? They control almost 17% of our entire stock exchange. The second is Airtel, an Indian company, with nearly 15%. That is why there is a downward pressure on the Naira. Because we gleefully patronise these foreign behemoths, who repatriate their billions of dollars in profit to their home countries, leaving the Naira stranded. For every Naira traded in our stock exchange, at least 50 Kobo develops wings and flies to South Africa, India, Europe and America. And we say Nigeria is an independent nation? And this will continue, and the Naira will go downhill. And you will grow poorer. Unless you start patronising Nigerian brands, like Globacom Nigeria, the Dangote Group, Innoson Motors, Air Peace, and BUA, which are wholly Nigerian-owned and whose profits circulate here in Nigeria, adding value to the Naira! Until a Nigerian company is the number one form on the Nigerian Stock Exchange, we will only blame the government when our own consumption habits as citizens are the chief causative factors for a weak Naira! #TableShaker

The plan by President Tinubu to pay ₦8000 monthly to 12 million households as fuel subsidy removal palliatives is commendable. It gives a human face to the harsh economic necessity of petrol subsidy withdrawal. But to help our nation grow, I would suggest to the President that he ties the ₦8000 monthly payment to the condition that children in recipient families MUST attend school and have their payment vouchers signed by the principal/headmaster of their school proving that they attended school throughout that month, failure of which they will not be paid. That way, Nigeria will reduce her current population of 20 million out-of-school children. And it will have an immediate impact on our economy, as educated children tend to be healthier, less likely to engage in terrorism and criminality, and also less likely to be teenage parents. Furthermore, as a nation, we should not only give fish to people experiencing poverty. We should also teach willing Nigerians how to fish. I, therefore, recommend to the President that he may want to provide free training and business grants (not loans, but grants) to at least half a million Nigerian youths to enable them to start up verifiable small and medium-scale enterprises. Nigeria's situation is similar to that of the United States of the 1930s, and this was how President FDR Roosevelt empowered Americans through the New Deal. In that way, the President will help Nigerian youths to help themselves as well as to help Nigeria. Once again, good job, and kudos to the President. If he, however, does wrong, he should also expect knocks. #TableShaker

Let us continue to educate those who are over-excited over nothing so that they can keep their feet to the ground. Without making reference to any particular pending matter in court, generally speaking when the case you present in court is so useless that it cannot add up to support your prayers before the court, then the Respondent need not call any witness at all or can just call a lone witness to defend himself; in order words, the strength of the case of the Petitioner is directly proportional to the effort the Respondent need to make to defend himself.

12 Similarities Between Peter Obi and Mmesoma Ejikeme. 1.Obi voted in Anambra. Mmesoma wrote JAMB in Anambra. 2.Obi won Lagos. Mmesoma's 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice of schools are in Lagos. 3.Obi insisted he won #NigerianElections2023. Mmesoma insisted she had the highest JAMB score. 4.Obi claimed to be a youth at 62. Mmesoma claimed to be a minor at 19. 5.Obi blamed INEC glitch. Mmesoma blamed JAMB hitch. 6.Obi did a broadcast vowing to reclaim his mandate. Mmesoma did a broadcast promising that her results were genuine. 7.Mmesoma's daddy said she was always crying over JAMB. Obi cried 'Yes, Daddy' over the election. 8.Obi won 98% of Anambra's votes. The majority of Anambra supported Mmesoma. 9.Obi went on TV to cry. Mmesoma cried on TV. 10.Obi's followers insulted everybody. Mmesoma's supporters attacked everyone. 11.Obi lied that his brewery employs 60% of Anambra people. Mmesoma lied that she was the best pupil in Anambra. 12.IPOBy Ezekwesili said the certificate of return given to Tinubu belongs to Obi. IPOBy Ezekwesili said the highest score belongs to Mmesoma. Moral of the story: Those who play emotional politics will always end in frustration, while those who play strategic politics will always end in dominion. #TableShaker

Dear @samsmbah, Thank you for your feedback. You may or may not be right that our Igbo brethren control 60% of Lagos' wealth. However, according to renowned economist, Adam Smith in his book, The Wealth of Nations, the capital and wealth of a state is usually controlled by manufacturers. Our Igbo brothers and sisters are not heavily into manufacturing in Lagos. They have a cluster in Nnewi, but are not known manufacturers in Lagos or its neighbouring states. They are more into trading. Thus, it would be strange if they control 60% of Lagos' wealth. Before your 'revelation', I had seen data showing that when you take into account the volume of taxes paid to the Lagos State Government, Oando, Globacom, Forte Oil, Guinness Nigeria, Nigerian Breweries Limited, Nigerian Bottling Company, West African Portland Cement Company, Nestle Nigeria, Flower Mills of Nigeria, Unilever PLC, and Seven-Up Bottling, which are either wholly or partially owned by persons of Southwest origin, control the largest percentage of Lagos' wealth. With regard to non-Yoruba capitalists, from the same data pool, I was under the impression that the Dangote Group, BUA Group, and Intels, owned either wholly or partially by Northern Nigerian Fulani, were the largest non-Yoruba investors in Lagos. But perhaps you have access to data not available to the World Bank, so I will give you the benefit of the doubt and say maybe you are right. With regards to the 20 pounds issue, historical records prove that the Federal Military Government of General Yakubu Gowon, through radio broadcasts, urged people in the breakaway region of Biafra not to accept the Biafran Pounds as Nigeria would not recognise it. Upon this announcement by the Federal Military Government, many prudent 'Biafrans' withdrew all their Nigerian Naira and kept it at home. One such Biafran was Evelyn Okororie, who is still alive and told her story to CNN, which published it on January 16, 2020, in a piece titled 'Biafra war: Survivors relive account 50 years after Nigerian civil war ends.' After the war ended, the Biafran Pound was useless. Even Colonel Emeka Ojukwu did not take them with him when he fled Nigeria to Ivory Coast. The £20 was a gift from Chief Obafemi Awolowo to Biafrans. He did not have to do it. Both Gowon and his military colleagues were against it. After the Union defeated the Confederate states during the American Civil War, the Confederate States' dollars became worthless from May 26, 1865. The Union did not give any $20 to holders of the Confederate States dollars, as it should be. After the war, holders of the Confederate States dollars just lost their money. Period. That is the sad reality of war. As for an Igbo man "bowing" to no one, I counsel you to listen to the 'Yes Daddy' audio between Peter Obi and Bishop Oyedepo. Thanks again, and may God bless you. #TableShaker
