Grrm directly compared Rhaego's death to the tragic murder of Rhaegar's children. Grrm showed us that innocent children shouldn't be punished for their father's wrongdoing, If Sam,Tommen,Myrcella and Shireen can grow to be kind & gentle despite who their fathers, Rhaego can too.
