Queen Alicent was fettered at wrist and ankle with golden chains, though her stepdaughter spared her life “for the sake of our father, who loved you once?”

are we just supposed to ignore the part where alicent’s character is repeatedly facing every kind of sexual harassment/objectfication from majority male characters because ‘that’s how it was back in the days’ like no this is VERY MUCH a disturbing fantasy of ryan and hess

aging down alicent to make her rhaenyra’s childhood friend is the best change hbo has ever made

I get that they’re not enemies anymore but man I really wish we got this scene cause even in a vulnerable position Alicent stood on business and I prefer that over this wish wash nonsense. Like pls she was so deep in her belief she said this outta pocket shit

"Nonsense. It's a chair made of steel blades. Rhaenyra had wanted it all her life and had sacrificed two sons for it, she likely griped the damn thing too tight." -Robert Baratheon (GOT History and Lore,The Dance of Dragons) #Houseofthedragon

am i the only one who didn’t like how corlys book line was said? i was expecting it to be said emotionally and carry weight of the losses but instead it came across as flat and like a line was being ticked off from the script
