To be clear - the April price cut on energy cap will go ahead, and domestic consumers will be protected until July, but IF the situation around Qatar and Hormuz sustains for several weeks, in July there could well be a significant rise… On petrol - calmer heads, a 10% rise in oil IF sustained would mean several pence on a litre in a fortnight on pump prices… noticeable but not a supply shortage.
