Today, I visited victims of the recent rainstorm in Osogbo at Asubiaro Hospital, the Osun State University Teaching Hospital, and the police barracks in Oke Fia. My heart goes out to all those affected by this unfortunate disaster. I commiserate deeply with the family of the late Mrs. Jemilat Tijani. In support of her family, I have offered a university scholarship to her son, Farouk Tijani, through Osun State University. This incident is a painful reminder that climate change is real and continues to pose serious threats to our communities. As a government, we remain committed to proactive measures, public sensitization, and strengthened emergency response systems. We have begun a full assessment of the damage and are working with relevant federal agencies to ensure relief and support reach all victims. In this difficult time, we stand with every affected resident. Osun will overcome this together.

PRESS STATEMENT FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE AYDI & Unofficial Aides React to Court Case Filed by APP Against APC Candidate The Adeleke Youth Development Initiative (AYDI) and the Unofficial Aides of Ademola Adeleke have taken note of the court case filed by the Action Peoples Party (APP) against the APC governorship candidate, Mr. Bola Oyebamiji. From documents in the public space, the case raises serious questions about the credentials and information submitted to INEC, including issues around identity and eligibility. In simple terms, the court is being asked to decide whether: - The documents submitted are valid - There are inconsistencies in identity - INEC acted correctly in accepting his candidacy These are critical issues that speak directly to credibility and public trust. While the court will determine the facts, it is disappointing that a candidate seeking to lead Osun State is facing such serious concerns without clear public explanation from him or the APC. The people of Osun deserve transparency, accountability, and leaders whose records are beyond question.
