Funny thing about rival fans:
When Arsenal finished 8th, they laughed.
When Arsenal finished 2nd, they laughed.
When Arsenal challenged City, they laughed.
When Arsenal won the league, they laughed.
When Arsenal reached a Champions League final, they laughed.
At some point you realise they’re not laughing because Arsenal are failing.
They’re laughing because Arsenal are succeeding.
If winning the Premier League and losing a Champions League final on penalties is supposed to be our downfall, then we’re doing just fine.
We’ll be back.

Just watched the game back. Yeah, the referee needs investigating. I thought some of his decisions were weird at the time, but from the moment he gave us a corner and then decided to blow for half-time, some questions need answering.
Mosquera got booked within a minute of the restart, without a warning. Saka getting booked for winning the ball. Timber being penalised for turning his man. Every 50/50 went against us, he would award PSG a free kick minutes after waving play on for the same tackle against us. As for the Madueke tackle. I’m speechless.
I'm not surprised though when Qatar are in bed with UEFA and they are PSG's sponsor.

Arsenal have never won the Champions League, yet you saw how many rival fans were celebrating their downfall yesterday. Not because Arsenal were defending a title, but simply because they didn’t want to see them succeed.
That’s a lesson for real life too. Some people won’t wait for you to make it before they start rooting against you. They’ll want you to fail before you’ve even reached the top. Your job is to keep going and give them the opposite of what they wished for.

Dunia persilatan memang kejam.
Kalah di final memang sakit.
Tapi yang lebih lucu adalah melihat yang gagal sampai final ikut tertawa paling keras
😭😂

One of my “favorite” things about UCL finals is fans from clubs who couldn’t even make the final talking ish about great players in the match. As if Nuno Mendes having an off night makes Carreras or Balde better, for example. Nothing gets engagement like cheap opportunism. 👀

🚨🎙️Wayne Rooney: “Arsenal have been robbed tonight” 🤯
Rooney 🗣️ “I’ll be completely honest, Arsenal were absolutely robbed tonight, there is no other way to put it. You look at that foul on Noni Madueke in the box; it’s a stonewall, 100% clear penalty. How the referee or VAR hasn't given that is beyond me, and it completely changes the dynamic of a Champions League final.
But for me, the moment that truly gave it away the moment you knew exactly what the referee was doing was that halftime whistle. To blow the whistle right as Arsenal are literally standing there about to take a corner? I’ve played this game a long time, and you rarely see that unless there’s a blatant bias. It was shocking, and it set the tone for everything that followed.
In the second half, it became a totally different game, and not because of the football. The referee made absolutely sure that every single 50/50 call, every little nudge, and every major decision went straight to PSG. It completely killed Arsenal’s momentum. But to be fair, I’m not even surprised. We saw the exact same story when they played Bayern Munich earlier in the tournament. The officiating was heavily skewed then, and it’s happened again on the biggest stage.
PSG might be lifting the trophy, but they cannot honestly look at themselves in the mirror and be proud of the way they’ve won this final. To win the biggest prize in club football like that? It leaves a horrible taste. Arsenal deserved so much more tonight.”

Thierry Henry on the referee awarding a penalty for Kvaratskhelia but not for Madueke:
🗣️ “I'm furious, absolutely furious.
Someone needs to explain the consistency to me because I'm not seeing it.
Madueke gets brought down and we're told it's not enough for a penalty. A few minutes later, a similar incident happens with Kvaratskhelia and suddenly the whistle goes.
How can players, managers, and fans trust the process when the same challenge is being judged differently in the same game?
For me, that's unacceptable.
The referee has made himself the main talking point of the match, and that's the last thing you want in a final.
If one is a penalty, then both are penalties. If one isn't, then neither is. It really is that simple.”

Nobody less deserving of that than @biel_m04 . He’s been an absolute hero all season.
I love you, Gabriel. ❤️
