AI just helped someone sue their landlord without a lawyer. $20 of ChatGPT vs $500/hr attorney fees. This is happening all the time now. The legal (and accounting) industry isn't ready for what's coming.

Podcasters - what if I told you could offer your pod to any listener around the world, in their own local language but still keep it in your own voice? That’s the pilot we’re launching @Spotify! It’s called Voice Translation and using AI, translates podcasts episodes into alternate languages, all in the podcaster’s voice. It’s pretty insane. Take a look and let me know what you think! spoti.fi/VoiceTranslati…

Microsoft just dropped VASA-1. This AI can make single image sing and talk from audio reference expressively. Similar to EMO from Alibaba 10 wild examples: 1. Mona Lisa rapping Paparazzi

GenAI represents a legitimate advancement. Ignoring GenAI would be foolish. Failure to start down the GenAI path is a terrible plan. But #GenAI is a path, not a teleportation device. There is a staggering amount of work to be done to realize GenAI’s potential.

In-House Counsel: Big Law’s Clear and Present Danger Hugh A Simon, ALM law.com/americanlawyer… Great analysis, incl growing numbers of inhouse lawyers, ever more leverage in #BigLaw. - I disagree re GenAI / #LLM - what I see suggests firms are doing way more than inhouse counsel

@ronfriedmann @ReutersLegal Having work in that space for well over a decade, I strongly concur with this report. All good ideas are suppressed, typically by older lawyers. Sad but true.

Bar associations are stifling innovation and driving up costs, [Stanford Law] report says @ReutersLegal reuters.com/legal/governme… - Anyone surprised by this headline? How many reports have found flaws in bar regulation? Outside of AZ + UT, have any states made meaningful change?
