This was unnecessary. I honestly hate it when others stifle the efforts of small creators trying to build from scratch.

So instead of a quiet conversation, you chose a public disclaimer that made the organizers look shady, over what? Event listings that mentioned your name? If you want to support tech communities in Kenya, start by not throwing them under the bus for being excited to associate with you.
