Hey everyone! This is my first time making a video like this, and honestly, it took way longer than I expected. I really wanted to share some concepts and ideas I have about map control and wave management in Dota 2 Here's the idea: in Dota, the mid wave meets every 20 seconds, while the side lanes meet around every 30 seconds. Since all waves spawn every 30 seconds, the map naturally stays balanced until someone disrupts it by pushing with spells, auto-attacks, Ilusions, or dominated creeps. Waves are one of Dota's only constant variables that never change (unlike Roshan respawn times or Tormentor after the first one at minute 20). Waves always spawn every 30 seconds, and jungle creeps always spawn every minute, you can use those 2. Once you start looking at Dota this way, everything just clicks. You'll start noticing how pro teams use waves to set up smoke ganks, take control of different parts of the map, and even predict where the enemy is going. It's honestly one of the best ways to avoid getting smoke gank, you can literally figure out where they are and what they're up to just by keeping an eye on the waves. Check out the full video here: youtu.be/UWWVG3YHpbE Thanks for reading,

I just had an impromptu call and got the job offer of a lifetime, and I accepted on the spot. A life changing moment was definitely not on my bingo card today. Beyond excited for this next chapter. First stop: shopping for new attire.

I am unemployed. 💀 Yesterday, my role was impacted as part of the ESL FACEIT Group layoffs. 😬 I’m proud of what I accomplished in the past 2.5 years, and I’m open to all conversations about where I end up next.

CINE

Tournaments all clashing at the start of a season is a classic. Now we’re in CQ of #FissurePlayground and #DreamLeague27 both on the same days. Plus a country tourney and a streamers event. It's nice to have lots of action but a bit of communication b/n the big TOs wouldn’t hurt

We have made some really tough decisions in this shuffle window, and I have been struggling to find the right angle to go and discuss them in public. But with everything already announced, I'll try my best to do it properly. The hard truth is that after doing considerably well in 2024, we had a really rough year in 2025, and our great result at TI14 doesn't overshadow that. We have been considering our next steps for a long time already. What makes discussing it so hard is the fact that the people who got the short end of the stick are not only really good friends, but also very good professionals. And most importantly: they are not directly at fault for our struggles this year.  They gave everything they had to help putting us back on track, and without them, we wouldn't have finished the season on such a high. A couple of months ago, @mangusupma and I had a conversation and decided that the best path for both of our careers was to split up after TI. I wasn't even sure what was going to happen to me, it just ended up being me staying in HEROIC and not him. This guy is really good at what he does, and we couldn’t have accomplished what we did without him. I'm really proud that we managed to put our differences aside and truly work together to bring the best version of our team into this TI. Going forward with @4nalog was definitely a path we could have taken. There are many timelines out there where, in this very moment, we are planning our next season together. This guy has been consistently the best SA midlaner in recent years and has the mentality of a true champion. Those two were crucial pieces to the success of our project, and I'm glad I was able to lift a trophy together with them. I can't recommend them enough, and I'm sure they will be very successful wherever they end up. On another note, I'm really glad that we got @DavaiLama back. We had a really great time together last year, and I always felt like we had some unfinished business. Great player, great teammate, and great human being. I truly don't understand all the hate he gets sometimes. Also, he is rank 4 in europe right now, which is not an easy feat. The idea of @Wisper_dota2 switching roles was mine. It's a risky move, but a calculated one. I believe Wisper is talented enough to play any core role with ease. He has been constantly playing mid in his pubs for a long time, already has the hero pool for it, and has really good laning skills. We really believe if there's a guy that can pull it off, it's him, and I'm sure it's worth the shot. I will talk more about it in the future, but I'm really excited with this group going forward, and I believe that we have everything we need to achieve the goal of being a consistent team with good results throughout the whole season, and hopefully also get some tournament wins. Once again, thanks for the trust.
