@realKraftPunk I saw it at a packed 10th anniversary screening at the Castro and the way every joke filled the room with almost constant laughter was such a joy. A blissful screening and then When in Rome came on and sang The Promise sent it into the stratosphere.

@BillBrasky2620 Hollywood should simply make better blockbusters if they want them to win awards.

I'm looking at what Gold Derby are predicting will be the Best Picture nominees, and the only one I can see that's an unqualified box office success is DUNE 2. Granted, we still have November and December to go but nothing strikes me as a big populist success.

No offense to this movie, which I'm sure is good, but if they had a hard time getting the average person interested in last year's Oscars, where BARBIE and OPPENHEIMER were nominated, this year's Oscars seem like they're gonna be quite a struggle.
