Bangkok Police Arrest Alleged Cocaine 'Bigboss' With 1.5 Million Baht Stashed Above His Bathroom Ceiling Yesterday's operation in Bangkok targeted a 47-year-old Nigerian man known by the alias Patrick, who Deputy Bangkok Police Commissioner Teeradej Thammasuthee described as a Bigboss-level figure in Thailand's cocaine trade. Officers picked him up at the mouth of Silom Soi 1, and because of his build, close to 10 officers were needed to restrain him. Three other network members were also arrested, a 60-year-old Swiss man in Nonthaburi and two Thai men in the Rama III area. Seizures included 30 grams of cocaine, a car, roughly 400,000 baht in gold jewelry and brand-name watches, and about 1.5 million baht in cash stuffed above the ceiling panels of Patrick's bathroom. He reportedly told investigators the money came from Nigeria and that he wasn't hiding it, he was "keeping" it. He also said he was shocked to be caught after running the operation for so long. In Khaosod's separate writeup on the same bust, he broke down and asked to be sent back to Nigeria, saying he didn't want to grow old and die in a Thai prison. The trail to Patrick runs back through two earlier Metropolitan Police operations. In October 2025, officers disguised as construction workers rolled up nine suspects on Sukhumvit 11 in the "Take Down Black-Shadow Nana" op. In January 2026, the so-called cocaine queen was arrested with three associates and over 7 million baht in assets seized. Deputy National Police Chief Samran Nuanma ordered the follow-through, and investigators traced the chain up to Patrick.

This is just a recipe for chaos. Reviewing thousands of individual cases would take years. And wouldn’t solve anything. It’s been difficult enough tackling the vast backlog we inherited from the Tories without quadrupling the administrative chaos
