CNBC's Jim Cramer argued Tuesday that SpaceX's $2.5 trillion valuation can't be justified by its financials alone — the company currently operates at a loss — but that investors aren't buying earnings. They're buying Elon Musk. "The stock is called SpaceX, but it might as well be called Elon Musk," Cramer said, comparing the investment thesis to how previous generations viewed Berkshire Hathaway under Warren Buffett. Cramer pointed to SpaceX's growing portfolio — Starlink, reusable rockets, data center ambitions, and its newly announced $60 billion acquisition of AI coding startup Cursor — as reasons investors are willing to pay a premium for future growth. Musk has projected SpaceX could reach $1 trillion in annual revenue by 2030.
