@hailstateunis @HailStateFB If it were up to me, we’d strictly wear white and grey pants on the road

@jacksonrfinch @HailStateFB Maroon-White-Gray with the Maroon Interlocking helmets would easily be the best uniform in program history IMO.

@AllynMcKeen If that’s the case we’re gonna be set! As long as Jans is here I have no worries personally. He’s our guy

@jacksonrfinch Not disrespectful at all.
There's only so many minutes to go around though.
Grace is the future at guard from the reports out of practice.

The bye week has me thinking about and getting excited for Mississippi State Basketball.
I think this could be Chris Jans's best team yet.
Walk with me (long post).
-Josh Hubbard; yeah, we know what he is. Elite scorer who is now this team's leader. One of the best scoring threats in the SEC.
-Jayden Epps; teams can't just key in on Hubb now. We have 2 legit backcourt scoring threats. He's going to open up Hubb's game so much.
-Jaborri McGhee; really good combo-guard who is a willing defender and competent scorer. Perfect guy off the bench.
-King Grace; super talented freshman who is already making waves in practice. Hubb, Epps, and McGhee will be the main guard rotation, but he'll play some this year as a true freshman.
-Shawn Jones; I think Jelly takes over Cam Matthew's role of being the glue guy. Hellacious defender who will fight for rebounds and loose balls. He's also underrated offensively as he's improved his game every year.
-Amier Ali; long and rangy frame that's dangerous from outside. The potential is unreal. I feel good about the wing spot with him and Jelly holding it down.
-Achor Achor; probably the X factor of this team. If he can hold down the 4 spot and translate what he did at Samford here, the sky is the limit. Gotta stay healthy.
-Sergej Macura; go watch his highlights. That shot is pure. Can play the wing or the 4. We'll see how he progresses defensively.
-Brandon Walker; big, physical forward. Probably a guy that comes off the bench and does some dirty work.
-Quincy Ballard; the rim protector we were missing last year. Just a physical beast who can block shots and vacuum up rebounds. He'll have a high FG% due to all his put-back attempts and work around the basket.
And that's not to mention other guys like Dellquan Warren, Cam Paul, Davis-Fleming, and Tee Bartlett who I wouldn't be surprised to see as contributors as well.
I'm pumped. The SEC isn't as strong as it was last year, so this is our year to make a move up the ladder. We'll see in 27 days. Bring it on!
