@vargs_g Should contributors who provide these additional community services (like snapshots, RPC, docs, and active support) receive a higher allocation to reflect their broader impact, or should the allocation be divided equally among all node runners regardless of the extra contributions? x.com/jnode_operator…

An open call to the @0G_labs community who ran storage, DA, validator, kv nodes on our testnet V2 and V3. Can you give some data on how much it costed you to run the storage, DA, or validator nodes or even combinations of the above? Per month in USD would be helpful. It seems you are unhappy with the $10M reward pool as it is insufficient. We have our numbers after Sybil filtering but we are a community first organization so this is your chance to provide us with some actual data. PS: if you inflate the cost too high, I will know you are lying 😉 and will not consider your data point.

In addition to running Validator, Storage, DA and KV nodes, J-Node has been operating since the very early days (~1.5 years ago). Beyond node operations, we also provide extra community services like snapshots and public RPC endpoints. To ensure reliability, we maintain 2–3 dedicated servers per setup, which results in a monthly cost of around $150–$200 per service. These are not just nodes, but real infrastructure that has been supporting the community consistently from the start. P/s: not include evmos chain

The quick nature of incentives We live in a world that primarily requires financial and economic resources to survive, one uses money to buy food and shelter. In this system, more is generally better because more resources allow one to do more like leverage time, buy experiences, buy goods and products that are most expensive, hire others to do tasks, buy more food, take care of family and others, donate to others etc. Generally human beings are driving by growth and expansion: more happiness, more love, more knowledge, more resources for more happiness, more bliss, more power, etc. When one can achieve this need for more expansion in less time, then one generally adopts that behavior. That is the role of incentives. Incentives are ways to get to the desired outcome faster. In other words, Incentives drive behavior. This is why yogis do lots of meditation, yoga, etc to experience more knowledge and bliss in their lives. This is why entrepreneurs choose to go through all this pain and roadblocks to create companies to have a large financial outcome from their efforts. This is why investors who have invested in competitors or not invested in a particular company will shill their own bags and fud others. This is why testnet participants are incentivized to maximize their return per unit of time worked. This is also why no matter what amount of incentives will be given, there is an incentive to complain to get more to maximize their return per unit of time. Sometimes the best incentive of all though, is intrinsic and mission driven which is about not just accumulating resources for one’s own good but for the good of all. This is our stance. We stand for designing incentives that result in long term abundance, love, happiness and accomplishment of our mission of making AI a public good. It requires a community that is rewarded for its behavior long term not just for a short term event. Accomplishing a mission is not a year long initiative but could take a life time. We are here for that journey. Let us have AI bring us abundance and a life full of enlightenment and self realization.

IP Strategy (Nasdaq: IPST)
IP Strategy (Nasdaq: IPST)@ipstrategy_·
Introducing IP Strategy: the first publicly listed treasury vehicle centered on @storyprotocol’s $IP token. Heritage Distilling’s (Nasdaq: CASK) IP Strategy offers the first regulated path for public market investors to participate in the $80 trillion intellectual property economy without needing to hold crypto directly. Through $IP, investors gain exposure to a growing ecosystem already working with globally recognized IP and creators like Justin Bieber, BLACKPINK, Madonna, Adidas, and Stability AI, while positioning ahead of the next frontier: tokenized real-world data for AI. As AI’s bottleneck shifts from compute to rights-cleared data, $IP offers access to the programmable IP infrastructure driving the next phase of AI growth. 🔗Learn more: businesswire.com/news/home/2025…

🚨 There’s a large-scale supply chain attack in progress: the NPM account of a reputable developer has been compromised. The affected packages have already been downloaded over 1 billion times, meaning the entire JavaScript ecosystem may be at risk. The malicious payload works by silently swapping crypto addresses on the fly to steal funds. If you use a hardware wallet, pay attention to every transaction before signing and you're safe. If you don’t use a hardware wallet, refrain from making any on-chain transactions for now. It’s still unclear whether the attacker is also stealing seeds from software wallets directly at this stage. Excellent report here: jdstaerk.substack.com/p/we-just-foun…

@Ada_0g Campaigns are easy to farm; contribution isn’t. For 0G’s TGE, anchor distribution to proof-of-work with verifiable on-chain/off-chain activity, not badge collections. That’s how you get durable users instead of transient KPIs.

this one triggered some folks so naturally im doubling down. Some thoughts on airdrops and TGEs in general for anyone reee-ing in the comments; airdrops are a pretty nonsensical practice that have generally served three purposes a) regulatory cover around decentralization of a network b) a means of driving hype and increasing vanity metrics c) rewarding beta testers / community members Many teams including ourselves, Monad, and a host of pre-TGE projects have benefited from this in the past, to be clear a) is becoming increasing irrelevant under the current administration (though there is an argument that this may not always be the case in the future, which is fair) and b) does not matter in the slightest after launch. As someone who has seen both sides of this, and airdropped mid 9 figs worth of tokens to real people, no one care about anything but your chart after a couple of weeks. And I'll tell you one more secret; a larger airdrop also translates into more potential sellers with no cost basis. In fact, a number of the larger APAC trading groups will often target coins with airdrops for short selling campaigns, for this exact reason. So this has evolved into a much more insidious meta, where the majority of recent launches have involved teams doing a supply controlled "airdrop", often combined with something sketchy on the MM side, where 90%+ goes to insiders, misrepresenting the true float of the token and effectively lying to public market participants. And that's the worst of all of the potential options on the table imho. my 2c - ICOs and public sales will come back in a big way. You don't get free Meta stock for trying out a new Instagram feature. How we settled upon people getting massive amounts of free tokens for using an app etc is still pretty wild to me. I'm of the opinion that the majority of teams going forward will be best served by a very small airdrop (1-2%), accompanied with a public sale (perhaps 5-10%), which can either be explicitly injected into the charts, used strategically over time. Covers bases to some extent legally (i am not a lawyer), gives people a chance to get skin in the game, and leaves an amount of float in the market that can enable non-BS price discovery, and looks a lot more like the trad markets. I'm sure this won't be a popular opinion for many retail participants as it roughly translates to less free money - but this whole space is intensely reflexive, and given how much a chart can impact a project's leverage, I think that many founders (including those in the Bera eco) may benefit from thinking this through in the most adversarially aware manner possible. And many retail participants who truly care about a given project will probably end up happier in the long run. The underlying metagames which move some parts of the market are much messier than people think, and there are very few prizes for "doing the right thing", as I've learned the hard way. That doesn't mean that I'll change my approach, but it does mean that I've got to be cognizant about the spoken and unspoken standards which exist. This also isn't salt - it's quite stupid to complain about the market. But it is something that I wish I was less naive about prior to going into a TGE and launch process, so I hope this provides some useful context for someone out there. Godspeed to anyone launching new tokens, and always remember, *most* airdrop farmers are not your friends. Berachain

No idea what people fud about 😕 The drop was good and that was free testnet with zero fee unless you wasn't smart bought testnet token dumb action for any testnet The price also good since the launch, if you have money and smart would you buy at ath from range 7-9$, clearly not it just happened on chart around within 5 mins The amount of people lost money in Story less than 95% crypto out there before, not compare to any project but well it still 2x from TGE than other did list same +-3 months timeframe

@shresth3103 Really exciting direction, @shresth3103! In the heartbeat model, how do validators coordinate gas price estimation without a global view of mempool congestion? Would love to understand how price discovery works under partial ordering.

pod blog alert! Transactions can be fast - really fast – if you don't require consensus. But how do you build a fee market, aka gas pricing, without blocks or consensus? ⛽️ Fee markets ensure that the users pay the network fairly and the network can't be DOSed. Existing solutions - such as EIP1559 - require consensus on the congestion of the last block to update the gas price accordingly. Consensus-less networks, like pod, don't have this luxury! pod's answer - the heartbeat construction! Time is divided into epochs. Every epoch, validators broadcast their local gas price estimate based on the last epoch's traffic - heartbeats. (My favorite part - the median trick) Validators use the median of the lowest 2f + 1 values received as the current gas price; conversely, users take the median of the highest 2f + 1 values and use it as a gas price for all transactions in the epoch. The median trick ensures that irrespective of the heartbeats provided by the 1/3 malicious validators, all honest validators will accept the transactions by an honest user. Check out the complete blog link below 👇
