@MaddernBryan @SarahCeja03 I think that a technology I would of enjoyed would be google classroom, I enjoyed the non paper pencil in classroom, it would also helped become more tech savvy and confident in technology for myself.#CSUBTED4200 #csubted @ Bryan maddern

@Ststansberry A3) The source of technology that came to mind when asking this questions was Achieve 3000. It is an online reading program that is based on each student's reading level that aids in bettering their comprehension. #csubted #CSUBTED4200 @DrEddiesClass

@CDpanchi @tom_karnes @CsubMadelyns @Ststansberry Hi Daniel. I completely agree. Canvas can be quite complex to learn especially because so many families and students are accustomed to google classroom. I was worried my school district would have us use it in our classrooms at one point.

@tom_karnes @CsubMadelyns A2) Teaching during Covid was a challenge for many educators like myself, because not only did we have to learn how to use programs like canvas. We also had to be proficient enough to teach the students and parents how to navigate the program #csubted #csubedte4200 @Ststansberry

@Yulisamm18 @tom_karnes @CsubMadelyns @Ststansberry Hi Yulisa! Kahoot can be such a fun game to play with students! It can be difficult without the appropriate technology if students do not have a computer or cell phone. This is a great learning curve for teachers to keep these things mind. Thank you for sharing!

@doctor2pi A1) A technology tool I consider very innovative is Padlet! It is a great resource for students to collaborate with others within their class and community members. They can teach minor lessons and share information. #csubted #csubedte4200 @DrEddiesClass

@BaileyJaneR @doctor2pi @tom_karnes Hi Bailey! I also LOVE to use Jamboard in my classroom and the students really seem to enjoy it as well. I have never thought of using it myself to make room for additional information apart from my whiteboard! Great advice for all teachers! #csubted @DrEddiesClass

@doctor2pi A1) I have a Jamboard in my classroom that has proven to be really helpful! It is helpful because while it is just another whiteboard, it saves what I write. I don't have to erase what I can't fit on the board! #csubted #CSUBEDTE4200 @tom_karnes

@moluvs2teach @WrightMath314 @joboaler @MrsGallardo1 Hi Morgan, I definitely agree that there are many reasons for math anxiety. Growing up I experienced it because at a very young age I could not handle the pressure and it caused me to overthink and self-doubt

@WrightMath314 @joboaler @MrsGallardo1 A3: Math anxiety!! There are many reasons for math anxiety, and I’ve experienced math anxiety several times. Students may experience math anxiety when they are put under times pressure. Students may also experience math anxiety when they fear they are incorrect. #EDTE5200

@WrightMath314 @joboaler @MrsGallardo1 The best alternative to timed tests is not to time the students in the test. We as teachers have to guide them how to complete the work correctly so we can teach them to concentrate on accuracy and not focus on the time. Doing this students will alleviate the pressure of anxiety.

@WrightMath314 @MrsGallardo1 @joboaler Alternatives to a timed math test would be to make it a game and include whole class rather than just a test or even Number Talks that help each other with understanding multiple ways to solve.

@WrightMath314 @MrsGallardo1 @joboaler Students are being timed and tested determined by speed, especially because many students are not good at memorization due to diversity in learning. This can be seen by a variety of students when math fluency is dependent on the way students learned before common core.

@WrightMath314 @MrsGallardo1 @joboaler Number talks are important because they allow students to participate and practice several different strategies with their classmates and engage in discussions to express their ways of thinking.
