Chinese researchers have developed a biodegradable "bone glue" inspired by oysters, which can fix fractures in under three minutes, eliminating the need for surgery or metal implants. The adhesive is applied directly to the fracture, bonding bone fragments within the body. Once the bone heals, the glue is naturally absorbed, and the patient doesn't require a second surgery for implant removal.  How it works: •Adhesion: The glue is injected into the fracture site, where it adheres to the bone fragments, even in the presence of blood. 

•Inspiration: The adhesive properties are modeled after how oysters cling to surfaces underwater. 

•Biodegradability: The material is fully biodegradable and dissolves over approximately six months as the bone regenerates, completing the healing process.

•Less invasive: The glue can be applied with less extensive surgery, avoiding the need for large incisions for metal plates and screws.
