Top 5-8 in @FIFAe Nations World Cup & $40.000 USD ✅ I don’t know where to start. Our journey has been a roller coaster of emotions. In 2021 we qualified for eNations in Copenhagen, but it got cancelled. In 2022 we didn’t qualify. This year we’ve been working harder than ever, and it paid off. I can’t put into words how proud I am of our performance throughout this year. We failed multiple times, but we never gave up. Our Play-Ins run was disappointing. In Week 1 we only managed to get 5 points and finished bottom, resulting in relegation to Division 2. Week 3 wasn’t much better. Once again we finished last with 6 points. Online Qualifiers was the turnaround. We went unbeaten in the Group Stage with a 11-3-0 record in a group with Germany & Belgium, followed by a win against Turkey in the Winner Bracket. We qualified for eNations Playoffs. In the Playoffs we finished 2nd in a tough group containing of England, Sweden, Romania, Switzerland and ourselves. We lost the first game to Netherlands in the Winner Bracket after conceding a late goal. In the second chance we played Sweden and lost on penalties. All we needed to do was score to win the penalty shootout in sudden death, but we didn’t. In the third chance we played Norway. A game where we found ourselves chasing a deficit multiple times. In the 119th minute we equalized, and won on penalties. In a tough group at the eNations World Cup, we finished 3rd after beating some amazing nations. The 4 teams from our group advanced to the Quarter Finals, which shows the quality of opponents we played against. In the RO16 we faced one of the best teams in the world, Germany with the eClub World Cup champion, Umut, on the team sheet. Despite facing a 2-0 deficit in the second half of the second leg, we still pulled it back. Even with a 90th minute winner to finish the game 3-2 in our favor. Unfortunately we fell short in our last match against Brazil. I want to congratulate Brazil with the advancement to the Semi Finals. Our performance in this match just wasn’t good enough. But sometimes you have to give credit where credit is due. Brazil outperformed us, they had a better strategy and they came in prepared to deal with our unique playstyle. They were on a different level, and we have to admit that. I want to thank the players: @jerkosz, @Kossu72 & @anzinho8 who kept fighting and never gave up. The passion you showed was unmatched. I’m so proud of you, and you deserved this experience. Unfortunately it wasn’t meant to be, but next year we go again. I also want to give a special mention to @jtasku who has been an outstanding coach during the event. I hope he will become a coach in the future after he’s done with his player career. Oh boy, this guy is talented. Without @MakezCR, @InsecureFIFA and @TaneliSopanen this wouldn’t have been possible. Thank you for always providing us with the best possible facilities and structure. You are the reason the players and myself can do what we do best. Lastly, I want to thank @ENCE, the commentators of the Finnish stream, and our fans. Without your support this would’ve been way harder to achieve. Thank you very much for always supporting the boys in blue and white. A lot has been said about our playstyle during this competition. It was unique, and it gave the viewers something to talk about. We stayed true to our gameplan, we didn’t crack under pressure, and we delivered a big performance against teams ranked way higher than us. Everyone slept on us, and surprisingly the underdog made it to the Quarter Finals. We might not be the biggest FIFA nation, but we’ve finally managed to put some respect on Finlands name. This was about time, I hope you enjoyed the show 🎮 - Finland out 🇫🇮 🙌 ♥️ See you next year where we aim for the title 🤝🏆

eClub WC is now over for us. Game management and not finishing our chances cost us. All in all I am proud of us for this eClub run. We still walk away with 12.1k $, could be worse Now for me its time to coach Finland in eNations. and make sure we learn from our mistakes 🔜 🇫🇮

It’s incredible to witness the progress and growth of the 🇫🇮 FIFA scene. Two teams in 🇸🇦. eNations: @Kossu72, @jerkosz & @anzinho8. eClub: @anzinho8, @jerkosz & @jtasku. And we have players like @egoapina & @Krompee etc. We could easily form 1-2 more highly competitive teams.
