🍳 Introducing Kitchen Layer: The first Hyperliquid L2, an ultimate DeFi cook book with unprecedented efficiency. Transforming how blockchain apps are built by saving time, costs & resources. DEVNET LIVE SOON ! 🧵👇 Today's builders face impossible tradeoffs: high technical overhead, lack of transparency, network inefficiencies, security vulnerabilities & unsustainable incentives. Creating new DeFi primitives isn't just about ideas—it's about what's technically possible. Deploying battle tested Ethereum blue chip’s tech stack on Hyper EVM have represented great challenges, but not anymore. Kitchen Layer solves this by merging a conventional battle tested stack with a revolutionary precompiled functions library. Like having a master chef's toolkit ready to use, builders can plug & play hundreds of pre-audited functions to create powerful applications in minutes, not months. The precompile library is the core of Kitchen Layer efficiency, encompassing 100s functions for all common to most advanced features of web3 applications (staking, swaps, lending, merkle tree, option pricing, rebalancing, security… and many more) Thus enabling the creation of Kitchen native killer features, enhancing apps composability, and bootstrapping projects at every level of development. there is a pump.fun look alike in hyperliquid, hasn't picked up yet but have build a neat-looking layer at top of hypercore and in between hyperevm, acting as an HL L2, probably the first one around... @kitchen_layer is building the perfect dev tooling layer, much needed to connect core and evm, making dev journey from inception to execution fast and resourceful... it is primarily building launchpad style mechanics making it is quick and cheap for creators to push out their meme, nft and gamefi ideas... it's an interesting build and they're def onto something here...gonna explore and keep you in loop...

Hyperliquid has so far heavily relied on external stablecoin issuers, despite concerns about value leakage and alignment. Fortunately, change is imminent, ushered in with yet another genius marketing move. We’re not writing this merely to laud their communication prowess, so how does Kitchen envision contributing? 👇 Hyperliquid’s vision to develop the house of all finance via HIP-3 exchanges and markets aims to foster a broader range of financial products, challenging TradFi (with a robust offering potent enough to nudge top investment firms into switching sides), and takes another stride forward to channel liquidity, volume, and revenue into the HL ecosystem. Crypto markets thrive on sentiment and social dynamics; though it doesn’t present inherent economic or technical privileges, the "H" suffix brands USDH as the ecosystem’s canonical stable, wielding strong mindshare to propel growth. By opening a public competition for the ticker, Hyperliquid lets the market prove once more that all want a stake in this narrative, catapulting HYPE to a new ATH above $50. Kitchen Layer will amplify USDH as a revenue driver, inspired by the Plasma stable flywheel’s success. By facilitating its use as a quote asset via our HyperCore connection and layering on additional yield, it enhances competitiveness while recirculating value within the HL ecosystem. As a true extension of HyperCore, Kitchen boosts yield, efficiency, and sustainability, while connecting USDH beyond Hyperliquid to every other EVM.

Kitchen’s 2 cents on these interesting takes: Considering diversification for staker doesn’t make as much sense for HIP-3 markets compared to regular validators, the clear winner here is probably the exchange that can most easily and quickly absorb a large variety of markets. Fragmentation of markets is indeed an inefficiency if liquidity is isolated, whereas with composability and AMOs then fragmentation brings competitiveness thus efficiency. TradFi products like on-chain forex or synthetic stocks never blew up on Ethereum due to the combination of not being significantly more efficient than the originals, and not fitting with the personae of crypto-native traders. HIP-3 makes these scalable but it still needs a public. What if we told you we know a place where: 1) There is a permanent HYPE inflow to be staked, let’s say from HYPE denominated sequencer fees, also boosting a competitive LST yield, 2) The infrastructure is more efficient for asset issuer, traders, & liquidators, thanks to faster and cheaper execution ; while operating at a sufficiently high level to absorb a large variety of markets, 3) You can be directly connected to Nitro EVMS such as the liquidity layer @RobinhoodApp is building, and funnel TradFi traders towards HIP-3 markets. 🍳
Charlie.hl@0xBroze

6 months post HIP-3 mainnet launch, would make a bet there will be at most 4 market deployers doing >90% of the combined HIP-3 volume Why? >Venture-style decision on the part of those who stake HYPE to these exchanges >Avoidance of fragmentation around the most desired markets >Difficulty in deploying and scaling novel market types (or any market at all) from a risk perspective 1. For a staker choosing to lock-up their HYPE in order to back an exchange, the staker is essentially making a venture bet: spreading HYPE around 50 exchanges is one approach but taking a bet on a clear winner will inevitably yield higher results (and will there even be 50 exchanges accepting external stake to spread around to?). The second two reasons further emphasize why diversification of stake doesn't make as much sense here as it might when staking to a regular validator 2. Fragmentation of markets will kill UX, so it’s highly unlikely imo that we see HIP-3 exchanges deploying the same markets; deployers will take bets on the markets they see real demand for, markets that aren’t yet deployed and try to swallow up market share as quickly as possible 3. And finally on the point of winning and maintaining market share, deploying perp markets for novel assets (equities, indices, FX, etc) or even crypto-native assets is no easy task. If any HIP-3 exchange has an XPL pre-TGE moment, its reputation will likely be severely wounded. Risk and market selection will be critical, and 6 months out, it’s difficult to see >4 exchanges splitting 90% of the combined HIP-3 volume given the inputs required on risk and scaling *One caveat on this argument is that as perps expand, we could certainly see an expansion of perps use cases beyond the current obvious options, which is why I put this bet at 6 months out. Maybe 12 months post HIP-3 mainnet, we have newer entrants with novel use cases pushing higher volumes, but also a good chance the incumbents are scaling aggressively at that point and taking these new use cases as quickly as possible

Hyperliquid Community Hackathon Kitchen's submission: taikai.network/hl-hackathon-o… Kitchen solves the problem of fragmented liquidity and high slippage on typical on-chain venues, allows users and smart contracts to trade at CEX-level pricing without ever leaving the Kitchen ecosystem This architecture provides the raw execution power and efficiency of a centralized service by allowing direct API calls, while maintaining the trustless security of a decentralized rollup through its verifiable, proof-based settlement process.

Kitchen transforms the NFTs asset class by integrating a yield bearing component applying without distinction to every NFTs minted on the network. We have observed a lot of activity in the NFT sector among hl communities, let’s address this topic and see how Kitchen revolutionize it! How is it possible ? Every NFT minted on Kitchen Layer carries underlying yield generated from two sources: * Sequencer fee & priority fees paid to access trendy collections mint events * Kitchen Launchpad revenue sharing for collections created on the platform How does it work ? When minted or exchanged on secondary markets, NFTs let a volume print that can be tracked to assess the quality of the NFT based on market driven indicators. As a result, the more popular and traded, the more yield it will carry. What doors does it opens ? NFTs enter a whole new dimension with access to yield tokenization, prediction markets, and many more DeFi primitives to make NFTs sustainable value creative assets.

How much can HIP-3 HYPE stakers/deployers realistically expect to make? Let’s walk through some basic HIP-3 deployer math: For HIP-3 deployments, deployers putting up the required 1M staked HYPE in order to back the exchange can split fee share with the exchange team. Now some assumptions here: >Fee split between staker(s) and exchange is 50/50 >There is exactly 1M staked HYPE backing this exchange >Fee is approximately 0.00025 * Volume >Exchange Monthly Volume is $5bn At this rate, $1,250,000 in fees is being generated per month or $15,000,000 per year. With 1M staked HYPE at $40/HYPE and 50/50 fee split, that is $7.5m to the stakers or an 18.75% APY on that deployer HYPE The primary factor here will be whether these exchanges can generate volume via 1) deploying markets that users want to trade at scale and 2) creating channels of distribution for onboarding those users. If we can see $10bn or $20bn monthly perp volume numbers coming in for HIP-3 exchanges (basically doing Drift/Jupiter numbers), things get even more interesting
