@DCinvestor theres a lot of benefits of that when it comes to game/puzzle design as well i ramble about it time to time; but basically, photo realism is information overload which gets in the way of task / challenge intuition

in a world where most games will trend more and more towards photo-realism via supplemental AI-generation the Nintendo aesthetic will age the best, by far basically every generation of Nintendo console has aged quite well graphically and still looks pretty great except for the N64 (imo)

@CodyLibolt There are always bailouts in capitalism. Companies get bigger and bigger until they can literally control the state at which point they make the state give them money. It's inevitable in a capitalist system.
