@pk_kenzie I'm assuming the "storyboards" in question here are basically full cuts of animation or LO in the JP industry rather than a static storyboard since that's what most western animators always describe their BTS work labelled as "storyboard".

They cut the storyboard team in half last season. Some of my friends lost their jobs and it’s awful It’s not the voice actors taking up the budget tho. They’re two separate budgets. They just genuinely need a bigger budget- remember, this show is 50 mins long

i think nicole's burst or animations aren't even that bad. to me, it encapsulates her gentle and muted disposition as a character. her animations aren't harsh, but it demonstrates the gentle, elegant demeanor she has.

This is kind of exaggerated, but lowkey, yes. There are people who want every movement of a character to fill the screen with lights and call it "animation powercreep", while calling actually well animated characters like Zani and Galbrena "mid" because they don't overdo the VFX.
