Maryam Rajavi@Maryam_Rajavi

At dawn today, Vahid Bani Amerian and Abolhassan Montazer were hanged in Ghezel Hesar Prison, Karaj. The two heroic members of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) have now joined their comrades who laid down their lives in the struggle for freedom, including Mohammad Taghavi, Akbar Daneshvar Kar, Babak Alipour, and Pouya Ghobadi. The ruling religious dictatorship in Iran has once again shed the blood of two of the Iranian people’s most courageous sons, exposing its fear and desperation in the face of organized opposition, the PMOI/MEK and the Liberation Army. Vahid Bani Amerian was a fearless commander of Resistance Units, consistently on the front lines of confrontation with the inhuman enemy, both in resistance activities and during his imprisonment. Abolhassan Montazer, a former political prisoner under the Shah, spent nearly 11 years in prison after the 1980s. He was regarded as a steadfast figure and a source of support for fellow political prisoners. The ruling mullahs, by executing steadfast opposition members --Vahid Bani Amerian, Abolhassan Montazer, Mohammad Taghavi, Akbar Daneshvarkar, Babak Alipour, and Pouya Ghobadi-- vainly attempts to delay their inevitable downfall. Yet these unjustly shed lives will not silence dissent. Instead, they deepen public outrage and strengthen the resolve of freedom fighters, amplifying both anger and determination in the face of repression. These fallen heroes are teachers of resilience, integrity, and sacrifice, whose stories will resonate with a younger generation that continues to take part in waves of protests and uprisings. Among them are young people such as Amirhossein Hatami, Saleh Mohammadi, Mehdi Ghasemi, and Saeed Davoudi, who were executed in recent weeks by the clerical regime, and joined the galaxy of fallen freedom fighters. Once again, I call for a special session of the United Nations to address the ongoing executions of political prisoners in Iran and to take immediate, practical measures to help prevent further loss of life. There is an urgent need for international attention to the situation of PMOI members and other political prisoners, as well as detained rebellious youth across the country who are facing execution.

@jl8081338793866 @realniggano @SpaceKoala Mainly It's called flares(not sure if there are other active tools). There is limited quantity of them carried, and they can be potentially all expended if the plane got into situation that was more challenging than expected. They also don't have 100% success rate(nothing does).

@Mithrandir48 @JamesSurowiecki Unless possibly more stuff is coming (like airborne operation, coastal area seizure, IDF push through Syria and Iraq, ... But nothing big that could work out seems likely currently.

@Mithrandir48 @JamesSurowiecki By the way, I asked at times, some poeple told me that Trump has not yet called them into streets... They were supposed to wait for signal. It seemed to me at some points Trump was openly calling for it, other people say he wasn't... So... 🤷‍♂️

Isn't the obvious deal that we agree to stop bombing, Iran agrees to open the Strait and stop tolling, and we call it even and everyone goes home?

@kodkod87 @McFaul It would however exclude multiple US allies, it would similarly exclude neutral democratic nations... And all the while, create strong concern in countries that would not be part of it. Meanwhile US President is throwing around terms of "globalists" as a disease. So, not likely.

@kodkod87 @McFaul It is theoretically possible to have a worldwide alliance of democracies but that requires persuading citizenry to commit to defense of democracy around the planet, and that commitment would have to be binding to every member (a.k.a. world government).

@Tal_Just_Louder @Zikode_ka_Gasa @MattBlair12479 @WSJopinion Jerusalem Post: I don't care who owns it now, I care why they were ordered to lose the home they lived in for decades including time before Israel was there. If Nakhba stands. Also, article you link is another case (although also unjust).

@Tal_Just_Louder @Zikode_ka_Gasa @MattBlair12479 @WSJopinion There are 2 millions of Palestinians with Israel citizenship, that family appears to not have anything to do with any hostility against Israel, there is no just rationale why they should lose their home. They were there, before Israel was there, and they should be allowed to stay

@Tal_Just_Louder @Zikode_ka_Gasa @MattBlair12479 @WSJopinion Yep, you realize the court case is unjust, so you invent entirely different argument, one where you pretend I'm arguing against existence of Israel, and you pretend to be the defender of it. When it's about unjust laws and injustice being done after how many? 50 years?

@Tal_Just_Louder @Zikode_ka_Gasa @MattBlair12479 @WSJopinion So it seems you are one of those people that like to invent a topic completely different from one that's being talked about, expand it in every direction, and then invent argument completely different from one being made and refute that. I talked about specific unjust court case.

@Tal_Just_Louder @Zikode_ka_Gasa @MattBlair12479 @WSJopinion So what? Again, they are two semi-fair choices: -If it was part of Israel in 1948, no return of Palestinian refugess, but also no return of Jewish property outside of what Israel controlled 1948. -Or, guy can get house in East Jerusalem, and every Palestinian has right to return.
