Oh they might be adapting the Eri one-shot after all! Hopefully with this the headcanon that Deku is the greatest hero will die since it contradicts the message of the manga of all us being the greatest heroes and it was a mistranslation. He only embodied being *a* great hero.

Literally not why he retired lmao he did it cause AFO and Dabi crippled him and cause he hates himself. His family are the only ones who actually hate him for what he did, he was still defended by his colleagues, sidekicks, and students like Inasa who hated him for less.
