I’ve been wanting to work on a more intimate animation for a while, and the raw emotion and vulnerability of Sufjan Stevens’ "Death with Dignity" demo has stayed on my mind since I first heard it.

@elliearomalady @SHCKWAVEANIM but her hand doesn’t phase through the braid i think, the braid just phases through her shoulder to make the movement smoother iirc

@maelwiggin @SHCKWAVEANIM Came to say this. They tried to make it work, but the braid kept crumpling or something so it was just easier to have her hand phase through it.

You can dislike a movie without discrediting the hundreds of artists who worked on it. Very clearly an animation error. Hate what AI has done to make people distrust stuff like this now. (and shame on Disney for using AI in other media to make people distrust *their* work now.)

How come Walt Disney Animations, a $2.3 billion dollar company is laying off animators and make ai slop garbage to save money? It’s not even hard to tell. These frames are milliseconds apart yet she has an earring in one and not the other.

@SHCKWAVEANIM elsa's hair clipping isn't an animation mistake though, it's deliberate cheating on the camera even though it's easy to catch once you know it happens

Disney has had errors in the past that they missed even in the final versions of their movies, the most notable one being Elsa's hair clipping through her shoulder in Frozen 1, or Kristoff's hand clipping through Anna. IT'S COMMON AND VERY HUMAN. (3/?)

@Mystikart_ that’s probably for the best! i think the concept of an artsy exploration game is especially incompatible with genai because its fans are looking for something more handcrafted, but i appreciate the effort of changing it when your situation improves. i wish you the best of luck!

@maelwiggin I should mention that there's a lot of manual editing and composition by hand involved in this image (I spent at least 15 hours in Photoshop), but honestly, it doesn't really matter; I'd have to create it without any AI assistance. and delete this IA disclosure

@MiguelilIo_RL NO puedes dejar un resultado con IA como resultado final, porque entonces es solo dar un promt elaborado y no usarlo de herramienta.
La cosa seria pedir el promt y despues trabajar con eso de REFERENCIA en el caso de trabajos artisticos

Podeis criticar si quereis, pero la realidad es que asi es como se usa la IA en condiciones, como una HERRAMIENTA que facilite el trabajo para artistas/diseñadores.

i feel like the constant reiteration of “the silent princess can only bloom in the wild” should have tipped you off that zelda, constricted since childhood, was gonna get a second chance to live her life just like link and not be on the brink of death while he’s still young

@maelwiggin needed *an* arm for was to catch zelda in the final freefall but i think they could’ve gotten away with him doing it one-armed if they really wanted to and the parallel to her hand slipping in the intro would still be there.

@maelwiggin there were things pointing to the dragon thing not being irreversible throughout but not as much for the arm thing being reversible. i guess someone could argue that the shrines cleansing the gloom from him and his arm were signs but he didn’t get it back via gloom cleanse,

@oguripilled i get your point, honestly i haven’t played it since i beat it at launch and i really didn’t like it that much, at the time i felt that the irreversibility of draconification and link’s lost arm getting thrown out at the end was a bit weak, even if zelda’s recall makes sense
