For our very first post here on X, it only felt fitting to introduce you all to Apple. 🍏✨ Apple is one of the 2026 orphaned Red fox kits currently in our care at Arctic Fox Daily Wildlife Rescue, and she has unexpectedly become quite the little viral sensation online lately. She’s a tiny warrior with some neurological challenges and a presumed hydrocephalus diagnosis (which we hope to “officially” confirm soon through the MRI we are currently fundraising for), and she needs all the support she can get right now - and I believe she deserves all the attention! It has honestly been so surreal - and incredibly heartwarming - to watch hundreds of people online rally together around this sweet little fox and our mission, especially because I’m choosing to go against the grain of what has historically been considered the appropriate standard protocol for baby foxes with this condition, which is euthanasia upon intake. Our rescue survives solely because of donations and support from members of the public (we don’t receive any state funding to operate) and seeing people care this deeply about one tiny, wild life means more than I can put into words. Things behind the scenes here are absolutely insane for me right now (baby season and Fox Barn construction waits for no one 😅), so even if I’m not able to be super active online, please know that your support truly means the world to all of us here.
