@MathBomb check out maxplayscfb.com/tools/scoutsco… and try comparing a scouted recruit in your dynasty to other similar players - and see how good their stats really are!!
English

what if someone built the @MathBomb of CFB 26? Well, now we have it - instantly compare a recruit to hundreds of other recruits from the community to learn how they ACTUALLY stack up after scouting

Still working on the content, but finally created my own website to host my CFB 26 tools & tests!!! Check it out at maxplayscfb.com - please tear it apart and let me know how I can improve it!

I got tired of how EA calculates overalls in College Football 26, so I built my own calculator that ANYONE can use and customize for free!

this app hates links but here it is if you would like to try: overall-predictor.pages.dev

@kandymanandy i am just doing manual data entry via something like google sheets and then loading those into R for analysis!
English

@maxplayscfb How are you exporting data from the game? I have some data sets of 3 stars from my own research if you want some more.
English

(2/2)
- 3-star gems are still fine. yes, they have worse skill caps than most 4 stars, but 70% of ANY 3 stars can get to 90+ ovr based on skill caps alone
if you only look at impact/star/elite, it's even higher.

@maxplayscfb I think we enjoy it because you are raw and honest about how/why you play the way you do. You don’t exploit things, you use you data, logic, and your style of presentation doesn’t sensationalize things. You’re a breathe of fresh air in a saturated space that could use maturity.
English

@MillsTwitch Very biased but the Max Plays CFB playbook is interesting:
* spread heavy
* only 1 wide set
* simple run game (option, zone, dive)
* lots of room for creativity w/ pass catching RBs/TEs
* a tiny tad of single back/Iform for short yard situations
English

@P4RKEST Gut feeling is that the impact of a “competitive” visit is <20% of the impact of actually winning
In other words, if you need to maximize the players landed, I’d for sure do 2-3 comp visits at 70-90% effectiveness NOW than potentially lose one of those guys due to a lack of visit
English

@maxplayscfb Ran into a snafu today, do I schedule competitive visits (multiple o-linemen) to try and get more transfers, or do I try and one at a time to have a stronger impact. Made me think, one thing I don't belive I've seen anyone test is the impact of competitive visits.
