I love this song so much!😭and Sam's vocal are on par with long-term musical actors, honestly he sings far better than some Western musical actors who’ve toured China🤦🏻‍♀️the casts brought over here usually aren’t the original or top-tier leads, some are rlly painful to listen to🤦🏻‍♀️

These layered narrative tricks are so intricate you’ll miss most of them unless rewatch at least five times? That’s why I think we shouldn’t jump to conclusions too early. e.g. someone said strip club scenes take up so much screen time-

Totally spot-on! The show uses layered narrative tricks. Lestat dodges Daniel’s interview, and all the disjointed flashbacks are him avoiding both audiences' judgment and his own self-reflection.His snarky voiceovers clash sharply with the heartbreaking scene on screen.

Just realized, two episodes wrapped up,poor Daniel has barely gotten a single question answered directly from Lestat’s mouth🤣while we’ve learned about Lestat’s backstory, everything is only from his own memories. No wonder Daniel will start pushing harder in next episode😂

@venomcoeur This is honestly my favorite part of the show-digging into these layered lines and scenes. Most shows spell everything out so plainly and nothing left to analyze😅This season is overflowing with details. Jumping to conclusions after just one or two watches feels way too hasty🤷‍♀️

@venomcoeur Take those lines between Gabistat: “Be A Man”, “belong to no one”, “not for me”, “I came came came”, “company without com”. They use simple wording packed with double meanings, making their exact positions and feelings toward one another crystal clear in that moment.

Can we talk about this Japanese robe???(I’m sure it’s Japanese style not Chinese,and in Japan this kind of robe is called "Yukata"[浴衣(ゆかた)] bcs it looks so hooooooot on Lestat(Sam)🥵🥵🥵I’ve rewatched these scenes a million times for this look, sorry🫠I'm hooked🥹

@menghp I think the point is how Lestat is now truly hurt enough not to respond other way than the concert performance. I think Claudia will be the thing that will bring them together again. Or Louis reacts seeing how badly Lestat is faring after Dan starts probing the Magnus memories
