The reason for the difference in sentiment is based on the question framing. If you ever want validation for an opinion, write a leading question in the header of the post: “Is X going backwards?” = “X is going backwards” If you want the real answer, include both the positive and negative into the question: “Is X going forwards or backwards?”

Every morning, the moment my eyes open, I wake up to 40 unread Slack messages that effectively say: “If you don’t fix this in the next 5 minutes, the world will implode and the app will cease to exist.”
