Try to draw something every day. Ideally something that is somewhat challenging. In many areas, just trying to show up every day over a long time horizon is more than enough to arrive at most destinations.

Excited to be working on an article discussing balance of power in international relations theory. Specifically, whether a unipolar state (essentially a superpower far stronger than other potential rivals) is good or bad for peace.

The big catch-all phrase that describes this new direction would be something like: Exploring the behavior, nature, and evolution of complex systems. Really I’ll be talking about interesting aspects of different kinds of systems (in politics, history, physics, evolution…).

I’m making some changes to my newsletter. Over the last couple of months, I’ve only been writing about books, learning, and reading. But nowadays, I don’t think that’s fully reflective of my interests. So in addition to all of the above, I’ll also be exploring new topics.
