I’ll be honest. I saw your tweets in 2024 about 402 and payment channels and since then went down the rabbit hole. Love viem, porto, and now learning mpp. I’m sure it will be a killer. MCPay used Porto and that was my first attempt at agentic payments. For my startup I’m pumped and fired up. Would love to find ways to collab. I’m joining the hack today online as well.

The first time I worked with the 402 status code was in 2019 on the Interledger project, as a contractor for Ripple under Evan Schwartz, after a life-changing intro by Dan Robinson. That was about a year before I joined Paradigm. That was also my first Rust project, before Rust had async/await or stable futures support. We had built out abstracted settlement on top of a pair-wise based credit system, which supported onchain and offchain methods (w/ channels!), worked across N hops and any coin. It all worked, it was so magical, but the project ended up not having traction. That project has been on my mind since forever, and it's really wonderful to finally be able to ship versions of it many years later, in production, with a real tailwind (AI) that will help us make all of this inevitable.

@HooCrypto Hey great takes! I’m writing an essay on the same line of thinking but so far I’m missing the builder retention takes you point out. Do you have this written elsewhere I can reference in my essay? So I can use and credit you

First product out of the new @SolanaFndn products team is @tokens Foreign assets on Solana have many variants, e.g. there's no canonical Bitcoin or Gold Tokens aggregates all strains into a single place, and will soon offer a few very helpful and novel APIs as well😉 The underlying reason we built this was to power a news account, which with a combination of AI + human editors will surface global headlines + link to the relevant assets to trade. We're uniquely positioned to build this because: a) it presents a neutral view of assets b) a neutral view of where to trade or use the assets c) we have a privileged view of which tokens represent which assets
Tokens on Solana@tokens

if you think credit cards are the future of agentic payments, you severely misunderstand how risk loss averse card networks and issuers are.

saying engineering is easy now is cringe and ignorant it's easier for experienced engineers to move faster. for everyone else it just makes it easier to one-shot fluff software is an evolving system. the engineering is keeping it alive the past two days my workflow ingested feedback, logs, and db activity back into the loop result: 39 merged PRs improving stability in agentwallet all while shipping db migrations under load: ~1000 daily users and tens of thousands of events processed nothing broke
