I just finished this audiobook and it is the GOOD stuff! Dave Grohl is the best storyteller hands down. Just a fan who gets to bump shoulder with gods all while being awestruck by it all. A story of Rock n Roll, fatherhood, corndogs & loss. Chefs kiss.

Ms. Horvath's 1st grade class participated in a tournament of books where students got to vote on their favorite books read in class! "The Adventures of Huggie and Stick" by Drew Daywalt came out as the overall winner! Ironically, Drew Daywalt is a Highland graduate! @DrewDaywalt

@POWkidsbooks @avranicole For molly I was thinking of somebody who walked their own path. I imagined that she was a different kind of kid. Some one who was bold. I thought maybe she made her own clothes by ripping old clothes up and sewing together new creations. Making something seemingly ugly beautiful.

@POWkidsbooks @avranicole Shannon's wonderful first off. I was so excited to be part of her first book journey so we are, much like Molly and Nightmare bonded for life🥰. While making it she would message me after seeing new pages and get so excited and it was a gift to bring this story to life for her.

@POWkidsbooks @avranicole I think he understands it way before he admit he does. In just knowing that Molly was his person he would protect and grow with he peels back what he thought it meant to be a nightmare.

@POWkidsbooks @avranicole My inspiration for Nightmare was thinking of something that would be something you could see as identifying as a nightmare to a kid (Sharp teeth, horns, lil bat wings) but seemingly cuddly enough that you would then just wanna cuddle him by the end. I also Love drawing monsters!

@POWkidsbooks @avranicole Our lifetime of experiences make us the person we are and that includes the losses we have along the way. Our friendships mold us but our losses teach us to show the world who we really are while we are here.
