Should we use AI to create content? "Yes, but there’s a caveat. The problem isn’t AI, but how you use it. AI is terrible at strategy but great at execution. If you expect LLMs to come up with solutions and basically do your job, you won’t get great outputs." Read @chimammeje's full article on the Moz Blog 👇 mz.cm/3NWtMb0

AI search isn't just for the web giants. Research from @AirOpsHQ shows that 74% of ChatGPT citations go to sites with a Domain Authority under 80. While big brands get the mentions, smaller, high-intent pages are winning the actual citations. The door for mid-authority sites is wide open because success comes down to answering the fan-out queries ChatGPT generates behind the scenes. Are you optimizing for these follow-up questions yet? Read the research mz.cm/4lFQFf9

@calebknox_19 That's a good point! Metrics tell us what happened, but mood tells us what’s going to happen. Our hope is that by digging into how the machine works, you can spend less time guessing and more time managing client relationships.

@Moz Most miss the point. Google's "thinking" is just pattern matching. Our #1 churn predictor isn't SEO metrics—it's client mood. How does this help read that?

Hey there, while building new content on your own site is still important, we do know that LLMs rely on grounding searches for out-of-model responses that prioritize high-authority external platforms (like Wikipedia, LinkedIn, or YouTube), and barnacle SEO is a well-known and effective tactic for influencing these searches. This isn't so much about the links as about being mentioned in these places.
