@iKenndac good for you Daniel! Well done for getting out of your comfort zone. Cycling events are always intimidating.

The course was 36km with ~600m of climbing. It was the hardest bike ride of my life — my bike GPS congratulated me on a new record high heart rate. I did manage to finish the race, and came 6th out of 8 in my class (male, 18-39), which I’m *very* happy with!

I haven’t really talked about this publicly, but a similar story inspired me so it’s time to share. A couple of years ago, I stood on a scale for the first time in a while and realised I’d be dead soon if I didn’t turn things around. 139kg was TOO MANY kg.

If I were in government, I would rule that train fares must be less than the petrol cost for driving an average car that same distance. And that groups of up to 5 people can travel on a single train ticket.

First day at Apple! I’m joining the Swift Playgrounds Content team. Obviously I can’t visit the office yet so here’s a photo of me back in 2011 when I was at WWDC. I wasn’t a full time iOS developer yet at that point, but knew I wanted to be! Didn’t dream I’d end up at Apple.

My passport photo studio setup looks very professional until you zoom out a bit and see that we just shoved the dining room furniture aside and set up between the dog bed and ceiling lamp.

Went through the process of renewing my British passport online. It was all lovely and modern (photo uploads! Apple Pay!) until they asked me to physically post them a photocopy of every single page, including blank ones, of my Swedish passport. ?!?!!?

Supposedly the iPhone 12 mini is compatible with Qi chargers, but it doesn't work with the one I've used with the iPhone X for the past few years. Nearly all wireless chargers on amazon exclude iPhone 12 compatibility, so... does anyone know of one that does work?
