Please stop circulating this. Deaf communities do not benefit from signing gloves (nature.com/articles/s4192…), and the technology does not do what it claims to do. Despite the creators' good intentions, it's all just ableist as hell, centring signing deaf people as the problem.

2. Translations limited to one-way interaction (only benefits non-signing consumers)
3. Recognition threshold is too lenient
4. Seems limited to word-based translations

@missundaaztood The interesting variation is for the 2 touch on side of face DEAF: is the first touch at the ear or at the mouth? Is this variation triggered by the signs preceding DEAF or the signs

@missundaaztood This sign was introduced (as I recall) in the late '60s or early '70s, so not such an old sign. For me it's a euphemism, and a way to describe deafness as only about hearing (not about speech).
