In PH, the first week of October is celebrated as Nat'l Newborn Screening (NBS) Week. By doing NBS, congenital disorders may be detected even before clinical signs & symptoms are present. Hence, treatment can be given early to prevent the consequences of untreated conditions.
As part of the NIH anniversary celebration, NSRC in partnership IHG will conduct the Basics of Newborn Screening: A Training Orientation on 26 September 2024, from 1:00 to 5:00 pm at the Henry Sy Sr. Medical Sciences Building, UP College of Medicine. Scan the QR code to register.
